What do you think of GUESS purses?

Some are on the "cheap looking" side but some are really cute and have interesting designs. They are extremely sturdy and wear forever. Much better quality for the money than a lot of high end designers.

I loved Guess purses in the past. However, the past few years have come to show a lot of hardware, which I don't care for.

I own two of the Guess purses and I really like them. But to be honest with you I think both times I have bought them I was in Chicago and after looking at all the really high end expensive purses I was depressed I couldn't buy them. I went into the guess store and saw a cute purse and it was actually something that I could afford, so I bought it. The same thing happen to me when I was in Las Vegas. They have held up really well, and in my opinion they are reasonably priced for what you get.

Oh, definitely agreed!

As far as ~*~those~*~ kinds of brands go, Guess is a lot better than Kathy van Zeeland & Baby Phat, IMO. If you're "geared" for those styles, I would buy from Guess.

I don't care for their monogram styles, they're tacky and as someone else mentioned, reminds you of a wannabe Gucci.

But I have one tote that I absolutely love! I'm taking it to college with me too.

I like Guess. Some of their bags are too "blingy" but I can say that about alot of other brands too. I can't expect to like everything.

I love guess, but the problem is that they tend to be overpriced for their quality. For the retail price of a Guess purse you could probably buy a nice Coach purse from a Coach Outlet. My recommendation if you are looking for a Guess purse, get them at Ross, they sell them at half the price which is really what they're worth.

Agreed! I saw some rather nice Guess bags @ Ross the other day for reasonable prices.

I used to like some of them (those with not too much hardware) and I even bought one, but I have to say that it was not a good purchase.

Too expensive, considering that after a few months it started to show signs of use and besides, quite heavy (even if I chose one with not too much dangling metal). Won't buy any ever again.

I dont really like them, IMO they lack "elegance", they are a bit OTT.

They're overpriced and they aren't even leather! And they ALL are knock-offs of designer bags (mostly Prada and Gucci) - just horrible!

A few years ago I really liked them. More recently the "bling" factor has turned me away, as I'm not too much into external hardware on my purses.

However, they have had some nice patent totes lately that are cheap enough to buy and use sometime or somewhere you don't want to carry an expensive bag.
