what do you think of cz jewelry?

I have lots of CZ studs and dangly earrings, as well as a few cute necklaces. I'm a teacher, and more than once I've had people actually ask me how I can afford so many diamonds on a teacher's salary, lol! Nope, not diamonds; just cheap CZ worn with the right clothing ;)

While I don't own any CZ jewelry, someone posted about LizC CZ jewelry. I went on her website...absolutely gorgeous jewelry, custom made. She has her own brand CZs called
"Sparkling Lizzies"...I'm tempted, LOL!
lizcjewelry.com

i just saw the website. it doesn't mention any prices so i'm wondering what the price ranges are. any idea??

i do not have any cz but i kind of want cz stud earrings. my husband never buys me cz. he thinks it's stupid to buy those while i have a lot of real diamonds. but i think cz stud earrings would be ok..

I have CZ studs and diamond studs, and the CZs look better. Diamonds used for earrings are usually not as white or sparkly -- the cost would be prohibitive.

I mix fake and real jewlery *all* the time and i feel no embarrasment about it. Hey, Coco Chanel used to wear costume jewelry along with the crown jewels of some prince. if it was good enough for her, it's good enough for me.

Once while traveling I forgot my purse in the hotel room. Someone, the maid probably, riffled through it and stole money and the $40 CZ studs, but left behind the "real" jewelry. :p I've been a firm believer in CZ ever since. I don't care if I lose it, I can wear the earrings while gardening. But most important, I really don't care to spend my and my husband's money on diamonds. I think they're a sucker's game.

I made a resolution recently , because the past year was ott with spending for jewelry and other stuff ahem-Hermès-hmmm, the only jewelry I'm allowed to is semiprecious gems, cz and swarovski crystals for a while. I just love blingy sparkly stuff, and tbh I get the same pleasure out of a new purchase either it is cz or real gems. I think it will be good for the pocket!:D

Wow, what a story!

And I think you're right about diamonds...they have such poor resale value that ppl end up stuck with them all the time. It gives new meaning to the phrase "a diamond is forever."

I would assume the jewelry isn't inexpensive since she uses 14k, 18k and plat. I loved her styles...mostly classic. Wouldn't hurt to email her if something strikes your fancy. But I have not bought from this seller.

The folks on the Better than Diamond boards love her. I do think her stones might be the same as the ones that WinkCZ sells in many cases. I thought I read they were the same supplier.

Most of her stuff is amazing but she's had a few quality control issues of late.

if I google the "better than diamonds" will I find it easy>?

For diamond replicas especially for fancy colors I'd only buy from Swarovski. http://www.swarovski-gems.com/#/zirconia-diamond-colors
I will probably order my pink cz from Swarovski and have them set here with my jeweler. I don't want to pay extra taxes and customs fees with importing from US.

There is nothing like a good diamond on the finger. I love the diamond I got from DH, and I love my mother's ring; they sparkle like nothing else even though they're both small fractions of a carat. CZs don't sparkle like that, especially through skin oil and dirt. But I would never trade my CZ earrings and pendants for the real thing. And I don't terribly care if anyone thinks they're real or not.

By the way, what the hotel thief left behind were the pearls and cameos. Apparently they weren't her style, so she just grabbed the CZ earrings. I suspect there's a traveling tip in there somewhere. :D

lol! I love that story! My friend actually travels with her replica diamond. Her husband bought her a real 2c diamond for an e-ring but she's so clumsy that she put it in a safe box and got a replica of the same thing so that if she loses it, it won't be too much of a big deal

I think it's betterthandiamonds dot com

I didn't know Swarovski did fancy colored CZs in ideal cut. I went to the site but didn't see any option to purchase the loose stones. Do you have to order through the "contact" form?

I will call the company offices here in my city to learn info, I'm sure they can send a few cz to one of their stores, and if that is not possible I will see how I can get those, probably through my jeweler. I doubt it is a hard thing.;)
