What do you think of 2nd hand designer bags?

The nicest way to recycle stuff...I rarely buy new or throw away things....I love when beautiful art ( bags from great designers are very often art pieces)

They are easy to clean, to modify to make them yours

Cost is also a great factor, got these two ( Balenciaga Sunday tote and Goyard St Louis PM) from Fashionphile for the price of new Goyard tote ....lovely both, clean, well kept just like I keep mine ( with all my stuff inside a purse organizer)

The ONLY thing I am sensitive to ( assuming that the inside can be nicely cleaned and is not an issue) are handles. Do not like sticky, patina, darkened....if I can’t return the bag, I will splurge for a purse spa to clean them.

I pretty much buy only pre-owned bags. If they’re in very good condition and look almost new (or at least can be restored) why would I pay full price if I can pay way less? That said, I will occasionally buy new bags which I know I will keep ‘for life’, like Celine totes for example ;) There’s no stigma in buying pre-owned, reusing and recycling is good for the planet! :)

I have very few bags that are second hand. I hate paying retail. I will say that the few bags that I have purchased first hand, at least I didn't have to worry about the authenticity. But sometimes there's a "thrill" in it . lol
