A last minute desicion. Bought her online around 11:30 Sunday night. [emoji6]. She was here last night - came from a store in NYC. Of course, no stuffing or wrapping so I have no idea if she was display. Anyhoo, she's flawless and my perfect size. I debated colors and decided to go with this classic combo. [emoji7] (I forgot to pull out the hangtags. [emoji5] )

So gorgeous! I bought this one too, Saturday night. Congratulations!

So I was inspecting my Dinky and the inside flap almost looks like slight pitting in the leather. Is this normal or does anyone else have the same thing on their Dinkys? I haven't bought a new glove-tanned leather bag in a long time so I'm not sure if this is normal or I'm just being super anal lol?!?! Please help! I really don't want to have to send back, but will if I need to. I tried rubbing some conditioner (older white plastic bottle-no probs) into the spots, but no change. Thoughts?

The little spots on the side. They are primarily on one side. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1458926322.028706.jpg

Every tiny little imperfection used to bother me on a new handbag. A few years ago, a SA/Manager told me cowhides aren't perfect, hence the little imperfections. She wasn't trying to convince me to buy a bag (after looking at 5 of them, trying to find the "perfect" one) - only explain why you'll always find some irregularities. I've quit being so picky since then - but do try find the one I'm most comfortable with.

That said, your spots on the INSIDE of the bag wouldn't bother me. However, if they were on the outside front, I would exchange it. It's all in what you can live with.

Imperfections, yes. Flaws - like messed up edge coating, flawed stitching, irregular dye marks etc - No, I exchange. Hope that makes sense!

I should add, I'm currently dealing with a "flaw" on a new 1941 glove-tanned duffle. It's the last Tabac/Carmine in existence. It has a loose thread, in the contrasting red-orange color, on the leather tab you pull the strap through. A stress point. My SA has tried daily to see if there are any returns. At this point, we're going to send the bag for repair. If the repair isn't acceptable, I can return the bag. Ordinarily, I'd return the bag... I don't want issues with the stitching coming out after a few months use. But I really want this bag.....

Thanks so much for your feedback! I guess I'm just used to buying pebbled leather that tends to hide the imperfections much better. I know with glove-tanned those sort of things are much more noticeable. I honestly didn't notice the "spots" when I first looked at the bag. It wasn't until I started to inspect it. In all honesty how often am I going to sit there and inspect every inch of my bag lol. Now in your case with the loose thread, that's a whole other issue. That definitely needs to be fixed. I hope they are able to repair it! Keep us posted. [emoji3]

Just throwing in the new "wing", since I had posted it here before. Got the petal into it.

This should be all the leather colors now. I had SA check for any new on the horizon, but no more in the system yet. (Though I'm hopeful.)

[emoji173]️ it! Very nice! Are you planning on putting them on bags or displaying?

I do both. :)

But when I put them on a bag, I always attach a small home-made safety chain, to protect against:
1) that screw that has fallen out on some people's feathers
2) "sticky fingers" ... don't want them swiped.

I called my store as they were closing on Sunday night! Here she is and I'm so pleased that I went ahead and got her. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1458965331.306149.jpg
