What coveted IT bag is actually HARD TO GET?

The Vancouver HR is not too bad. I love Dior, and they have a pretty good Dior selectiohn. But I have to admit, the Bloor HR wins hands down for selection. Also, I was wondering if any one knows if the Chanel that is supposed to be opening in the Bloor HR is open yet.

I've said this before, but the Ottawa HR is a complete joke. It is very very limited. I think part of the reason for this is that it is so close to Montreal, and the Montreal store has got much more.
I haven't been in the Vancouver store for ages -- but it's a bigger centre, so the selection would have to be better than in Ottawa.
The bigger cities have also got boutique stores. Ottawa doesn't!

I wonder if there would be any money in someone like myself, who has access to "it" bags acquiring bags for you folks in New Zealand, Canada etc. for a nominal fee. One could then ship the items as gifts to avoid customs fees. Hmmm.

Anyone who is in the U.S having trouble finding something wonderful?

Here in Munich it's easy to get all Chanel bags you like but it's impossible to get a paddy. When they come they are sold out immediately and even being on the waitlist means that I was just able to choose one colour 6 weeks before they got into the store. At NAP they were sold out in front of my eyes. I just got one of the last ones. Fendi I don't know because I've never found any Fendi I liked.

I live in New Zealand too! it is such a pain here!! we only have tiny little store at DFS. I want to buy something from Hermes and the Hermes counter at DFS dont even carry bags!!

Most of the time, I either bought them from oversea when I travel or purchase from ebay or online store.

The import tax is huge!! last time I ordered something from NAP and it cost me 12.5% GST + 19% Duty.

I am half German and I have relatives in Gauting outside of Munich. Are you German? How do you find the fashion in Germany compared to other places like the US? What is the biggest best bag over there?

Canadians (writing above). I completely agree with you -- the only Holt's with variety and choice is in Toronto. This definitely limits Canadian's ability to acquire IT bags.

I agree to. I wish I could live in the HR on Bloor. It's such a beautiful store! The first time I was in there I think I spend like 2 hours just looking at everything. I just wish we had a real LV store instead of some crappy little counter jammed in the corner of Holt. :sad2:

Well, I live in Canada and every bag is hard to get. I wish I could go over to Holt Renfrew and buy whatever bag I want. But our HR gets very select shipments in and all the good bags are waitlisted. There are no Chanel, Gucci, Dior or any other high end designer boutiques where I live. That's why I envy those who can just walk into NM or Saks and see all the beautiful bags sitting there to be taken home.

Hi asl bebes! Sounds very familiar! My heart RACED when I actually saw Balenciaga on the shelf at our local H.R. in Edmonton. But the selection of these and most other great bags is minimal. Where are you from in Canada?
