What color skirts I'm tired of black

I have at least 30 skirts (for all seasons) that I've purchased over the years at Ann Taylor and Loft outlet stores.
I'm still wearing them.
They are all A line and not too short and not too long. The price point has always been great, and I refuse to pay $100 for a skirt unless it was a luxury brand RTW.

I love all the sweaters....ruffles and poufy sleeves are literally 2 of my favorite things! That being said, I can see how the first skirt would look sharp with black but I like that you're trying to add some fun pops of color and think it looks fine with both. I actually really like the blue! Houndstooth pattern is very in right now. My girls wore much of it when we were in Paris a couple weeks ago and I just saw tons of it in Bloomingdale's the other day. That skirt would also look good with your red sweater. I also think the red sweater with the plaid skirt looks acceptable. From a distance, I actually thought the darker lines in the plaid were red until I zoomed in after you mentioned orange. I think bc that part of the orange appears darker, it blends together ok.
I had no idea houndstooth is in now, I bought the skirt a few years ago

Thank you @papertiger I was trying to go out of my comfort zone with the colors rather than black and also trying to see what skirt I can wear with those colored sweaters ( other than black or denim).

@880 I was thinking of your idea for what makes a perfect skirt and while I don't have a perfect one, the neon skirt I got in the summer is quite flattering... and yes it has a bit of a higher waist and a flair to it!

Thank you for the suggestion I will look at their websites!
