I had many Coach, Dooney and Michael Kors for years and then one day in Jan 2014 I decided I was going to get just one and only one Louis Vuitton. I selected the Palermo and that was going to be it!!! Then I needed a Zippy wallet of course and then a LV cosmetic case and key pouch and a pouchette and then another Louis Vuitton...this time a Neverfull followed approx 4 months later and yes...the addiction had begun and continues to this day. I can't explain it even if I tried because I don't even understand the allure completely. I can just say It's like Lays Potato Chips...you can't just have one

What got me in was the Neverfull GM in Mono. Everyone and their mother has one here in northern NJ, and I wanted one so badly! I eventually got her and it opened the floodgates to a full blown LV obsession. I gave her to my mom after a year or so and got myself one in DE, vachetta is too high maintenance for my OCD!

I got my first LV when I turn 19 and that was a carryall 50 b, then I cut up all my credit cards and spent nearly a decade away from LV. I used to rotate two Prada bags and a few jack space bags until end of 2015 when I decided I wanted a nice wallet and I hadn't dabbled in LV in years. I walked out with a zippy compact wallet in monogram and then stayed away for a few months, went into the larger store in my town and purchased a Jake tote in DE and a charm. I received wonderful service and knew I'd be hooked. But I can really put it all into perspective when I received my world tour neverfull from an online waitlist. Went into my store with it and the SA's couldn't get enough. That's why I met my SA and if it wasn't for that great relationship I don't know if I would have accumulated so many LV items I love lol.

Sales associates are amazing! lol I don't live near a store, but have a particular person I do go too. If I lived closer I would be hosed. Lol

Same! I have a bunch of Michael Korda bags, but I'm hooked on LV. I did the same when I got my first Speedy. I love my items to match or be the same brand. Lol

Yes it's a slippery slope especially when there are two lvs within a 5-10 min walk from office and my route home haha. My SA actually talks me out of bags, tells me to enjoy the ones I've recently bought and she will keep her eyes if anything I that's on my radar is going to be gone, etc. but never any pressure from her or anyone in the stores in frequent. I go in knowing what I want but sometimes will be open and sometimes just pop in to say hi, maybe snatch a few replacement items in the back like some amazing luggage tags, clochettes and different keepall straps when they have them. My full addiction to LV has come with merchandise but also the stellar level of CS I receive and the never any hassles when I a concern might pop up has made me really into louis V again. Getting the right SA (s) is so crucial to consistent good experiences.

My first LV was a Speedy 25 in monogram back in 1997, followed by a monogram wallet almost immediately after I purchased the bag. I was just drawn to this iconic bag, and everything from the style to the size was perfect for me. Those were the main reasons for me...style and function. I still love classic Speedy. Of course after owning and carrying LV you quickly realize the quality is excellent, the bags are durable and versatile and the classic styles will remain so. For the past 20 years I have purchased many other LV bags and small leather goods in DE, Epi leather and Vernis, as well as classic monogram. I am still drawn to the brand and the history of the brand. While I've pared down my bag " collection" and really prefer the classic styles, I find I reach for my LV more often than any of the other bags I own. It's instinctive almost.

cerises pochette. it was cute and held more than i ever imagined, and was durable. i was impressed, especially b/c i had purposely avoided (and disliked) LV until that point. when i got that pochette, i finally got why LV was highly regarded

That's a great experience that you don't have a SA who pressures you into anything. That's probably rare. So true that the SA does play a crucial role. I honestly miss going into a store. The last two purchases I've made, I've had to order over the phone, and it's just not the same. They were helpful, but actually a bit rude through the phone line. I was disgruntled.

Have you made anymore purchases since? I don't own a pochette, but I am thinking of getting a mini pochette for my speedy as well as buying a strap and wearing it as a mini bag.

That's awesome! You're a seasoned Louis Vuitton customer. I wish I could've been old enough to appreciate the changes over the years. I agree the quality is amazing. I have quite a few other handbags that aren't LV, but not luxury either, and my speedy is my #1 go to. If I could have one in every print and then each print in a 30 and a 25 I would be so happy. Lol

omg yes, lol. i have tons of LV stuff... well, not tons but about 15-18 bags. the mini pochette - i have one - is very cute but won't hold many phone models, for that reason i prefer the regular pochette. it works well for makeup and other stuff, and as a wallet. i gifted one to my mom and she uses it as a small wallet/clutch. they're cute.

Wow! That's quite a lot of bags! lol Hopefully one day I'll get there. That's what I've heard. I'm not so concerned about my phone fitting as much as sometimes I just want to carry the bare minimum. Like when I go shopping. Do you happen to know if a Victorine Wallet would fit in the mini pochette? I would totally go for the larger one, but I don't really carry a whole lot of anything with me that I would put in there. lol
