What bag do you take along when you are going to:

• The mall
• The zoo
• grocery shopping
• dinner date
• movie with the girls
• Disneyworld
• sightseeing in Washington D.C/New York/Denver
• hiking in the Rockies
• lectures/classes
• organicf chemistry lab
• picnic and park with kids
• .....

Just curious about the carrying habits of the purse fanatics! Name other places and other bags you take along also!!!

For me, I always just wear whatever matches with my outfit and I coordinate that with what sized bag I'd need for the occasion. If I'm going someplace where I need my hands free, like Dave & Busters, I'll take a wristlet. If I'm going to the movies, I'll take a larger bag so I can put my snacks in it. Stuff like that. And all I carry are tokidoki and Coach. ^_^

• The mall--Whatever i'm using daily at the time- so now it would be my denim stripe tote, and as of tomorrow the black/gunmetal stripe tote!
• The zoo-- either a swingpack or smallish messenger type bag
• grocery shopping--Whatever daily bag i'm using at the time (see above)
• dinner date--smallish bag. I have a leather buckle demi that's perfect.
• movie with the girls--either daily bag, swingpack, or wristlet
• Disneyworld-- my cheap old navy zip top messenger bag that is the PERFECT size (not too big but fits EVERYTHING). Seriously, i am amazed at how much fits in this thing.
• sightseeing in Washington D.C/New York/Denver--daily bag or messenger
• hiking in the Rockies--i don't go hiking. but i imagine i'd bring a swingpack.
• lectures/classes--daily bag prob.
• organic chemistry lab--don't do this either, but prob a wristlet.
• picnic and park with kids--swingpack

shopping (mall) whatever i want- chelsea, mono speedy, depends on my outfit, but something easy to get in and out of. when i go to the states, something big

grocery- swingpack usually

school- when i was in uni, a big messenger bag or tote bag (as was the style at the time!) usally gap

disney- if i went back again, would bring my swingpack.

zoo- something old and crappy

picnic- see above

dinner date- something to show off!

movies- swingpack or chelsea. something smaller

other: work: any bag i feel like that goes w my outfit really. as big or small as needed for the day, but speedy i dont trust at work.

i can also add i think it is important to have a variety of bags, from high-end to chain store (gotta have something to take to in the freezing rain or to somewhere messy) and a variety of colurs, sizes, straps etc. i love feeling prepared: my gold pouch as an evening bag, a big danier leather carry-on, swingpack for small errands and travel, etc.

• The mall - I tend to go small, especially if it’s going to be a long day - Gucci Soho Disco, coach hologram mercer or Chloe mini Marcie
• The zoo - as above
• grocery shopping - whichever bag I have with me at the time
• dinner date - probably one of the ones mentioned for the mall.

• Disney world - smaller and lighter the better! Probably gucci soho disco
• sightseeing in Washington D.C/New York/Denver - just got back from New York! I had my soho Disco with me

• grocery shopping: whatever I'm using or my MCM Liz shopper tote clutch
• dinner date: Kate Spade Makayla in soft porcini, OR Coach Madison Pinnacle Wallet in Lizard print, OR MCM millie leather monogram crossbody
• movie with the girls: Kate Spade Makayla in Mint Splash
• sightseeing in Washington D.C/New York/Denver: MCM Liz Shopper Tote Clutch OR Coach Crosstown crossbody
• hiking in the Rockies: jansport backpack
• lectures/classes: Coach Turnlock Tote, OR Tory Burch Perry Tote, OR MCM Liz Shopper Tote
• organic chemistry lab: Jansport Backpack
• Holiday dinner at in-laws: something fun like Coach Python Embossed Crosby in Chalk OR something super laid-back like Coach Primrose Satchel in Black depending on which is more appropriate
