This is my one day when I retire list. I feel that once I'm not working anymore, I can get the bags I really want, instead of practical bags. So here goes:
1) LV Speedy - I know everyone and their brother thinks this is the most comfy bag ever, but the hand-held just doesn't work for my lifestyle.
2) BV Veneta large in black - I have one Veneta in large and it's just a tad to small for my current lifestyle, so when I get the black it has to be the maxi. But I prefer how the large looks on me.
3) Chanel jumbo flap lamb navy - I think the lamb says it all; I just don't like the look of caviar. Also I feel that I need another 20 years on me to really work that Chanel.
4) Anything medium sized YSL red - I love YSL, love their reds, but right now only the big bags work for me. So I'm dreaming of a Muse 2 in the smaller size in luscious red leather, maybe even red patent!
5) Le Pliage - this will be my seasonal ginormous throw-around.
1) LV Damier Ebene Galliera - I love the Galliera style but not the vachetta that comes with the monogram. When I get it, its gotta be the Damier Ebene with that gorgeous red interior.
2) Chanel 2.55 - Girl's gotta be classy and fabulous right? Enough said.
3) Prada Fairy Satchel - Gorgy bag but the ink running on it made me scared to get it. I hope they keep coming out with amazing bags like this.
4) Balenciaga GSH Black - I adore this bag so much. I don't care if it weights 50 pounds, I will carry it everywhere with pride. I need it.
5) Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Clutch - Gotta have the silver hardware on this, but I need my crossbody bag. This bag does it for me whether its day around town or out at karaoke with some friends.
Totally want a Prada and a Ferragamo. black. Honestly, have several of each I'd take in a heartbeat, but the budget and all. Wouldn't turn away a Balenciaga First in blue jeans blue, though
1) Hermes Bolide 37 in Rouge H Fjord PHW - classic and my absolute dream bag!
2) Mulberry Ledbury in oak Darwin - I have one and, although it is my least expensive bag, it is my favourite and so perfect and makes me happy every time I carry it (and it is worry free as it can be made water proof and is very sturdy)
3) Prada F/W 2005 black grommeted handbag (don't know the style name, but I sure love grommeted Prada, as it is modern but with a classic twist)
4) Alexander McQueen large grape Novak - I have this bag and it is sooooo feminine! It's a classic style, and it holds it shape even if you stuff it.
5) Hermes Barenia Plume 32 PHW - a dream bag which I'm not sure even exists, but I'd sure love to have one.
Black, saddle and white and gray would be the colors and the collection would be comprised of Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Coach yes Coach and perhaps a repeat of one of these or one that I haven't yet discovered.

No LV? If I could only have five (and DH would think that outrageous) I'd want an LV Speedy 25, a Coach leather, a Coach siggy ... wow I can't even think of five that I'd think of as classic and could actually use!
If I didn't care about price/status/usefulness - LV Speedy 25, 19th century 'reticule' that wouldn't even hold all the keys I have to carry, 30's 'frame/clasp top' that would barely hold my wallet, $5 fringed hippy shoulder bag I had when I was a teen and still miss, $70 'Baci' (basically no-name) bag that had the perfect inside organisation 'pour moi' that I've never found again at any price (too bad it fell apart after a few months).

1 Hermes Rouge H Fjord Bolide 37 PHW - my ultimate HG, perfect for every occasion
2 McQueen grape large Novak - for evenings or chic daywear
3 Mulberry choc Bayswater - great tote your life around university
4 a black Prada, possibly one of the new bowler/Bolide style bags
5 tricky...a party/going out bag (Mulberry smudged grey leopard Charlie) or a nice tote (Tod's shade, BV cabat...) or perhaps my beloved Mulberry Mitzy hobo that holds the world and weighs next to nothing - not sure of this one yet
I actually own the Bayswater, the McQueen Novak and the Bolide (though not in Fjord), the Mitzy and the Charlie, and the Prada is on my list to buy next. I have 14 designer bags, but most of them are a repeat style of the others I have or not classic enough to make it to this list...
