Apparently wearing eternity diamond bands before you're married is bad luck/means you won't?!
I heard about something like this but not necessarily one with diamonds. If you wear a wedding band as couple rings with your bf or gf and you are not married, you might break up in the future. You both wont end up with each other. Or another one where if the 2 of you indeed worn a couple ring and then one of you lost his pair, youre not gonna end up with each other. This happened to my sister and another friend thats why I never had a couple ring with dh until we really got married. Im not sure though if its true if you are single and no bf but wearing a wedding ring if its bad luck. You see, i used to wear my moms old wedding ring back when i was single and i didnt experience any misfortune.
My ex mother in law had a string of pearls break on a railway platform, they scattered everywhere. Later that day she discovered her husband had died. I've always thought pearls and opals were unlucky. (Although I can't remember why opals are!) I know it's about as sensible as not walking under ladders and saluting single magpies, but I don't like to take the chance!

Hmm..I never knew this about a watch..my husband already gave me like 3 watches and im asian though not chinese...
The only thing I heard about pearls is that you never use it if you are single otherwise you will never marry, except if its your birthstone like me...
This thread is really bad news for my jewellery collection...
No more opals, no more pearls... Haha
How about when you purchase and use someones past engagement ring who was just divorced? I bought one and just cleaned it well before using. Lol I have never ask anyone if I could try on their ring but I did request to see it up close.
