I am laughing at the funeral shopping opportunity, but I'm sorry for your loss.

I know...I'm terrible. it really was a tragic loss...died in his sleep...early 60s...family lost their youngest son less than 6 months ago...wife was out of town with her sister who just lost her DH...grew up with this family. I'm just sayin'...if I'm in nassau, if I have free time, if I can find one, if it's reasonably priced, if my mom doesn't catch me... :p

No, no, no. A funeral isn't an excuse to shop.

A conch pearl is the perfect way to celebrate a wonderful man, and a lifelong friendship. (that can be your story if your mom catches you...)

I remember my husband saying something about being "excited" to go someplace when we went for his fathers funeral. But the attitude of his two cousins are why we don't want them in our lives. I don't need to hear about how I am ruining your vacation because you can't borrow the car to go shopping after trashing my MILs house, the GRIEVING WIDOW's HOUSE. This isn't your vacation. You didn't need to bring a date.

Hokaplan,
Go to the London Jewelry website and you will see alot of the Shamballa bracelets.
The Shamballa website has alot of pics also, but no prices.
There are a ton of similar bracelets for sale and some are pretty nice, but I really want one made by Shamballa.

I've noticed, when I don't want to focus on the negative, I concentrate on shopping and my pretties. It's a way to keep yourself sane.

When I'm fighting with my 5 yr old's other family members over his education or weekend plans - when he strikes out at me because we aren't living in a nuclear family - I start debating if I am going to give him a nice watch for his HS graduation, or college graduation.

It's the last thing I should be worrying about. But, it's something I can control, and something that is easy to think about.

Meanwhile, your Conch pearls have me thinking that it would be pretty to have a pendant or earrings -
or maybe a pair of angel skin coral earrings...
My first thought was VCA, but then I started worrying about CITES and where they source their coral from,
vintage is very pretty and...

:hugs: thank you for saying that...you understand what I mean. life can be so difficult, can't it?

I have to give credit where credit is due. I had never heard of conch pearls until hermesaholic suggested them to me. so I guess I can say it's her fault :p

I love pink/angel skin coral. it's not the best color for my skin tone, but I do love the color (it looks wonderful on my mom & sisters). if you have the right coloring, I know it will look beautiful on you.
