Currently I'm trying to find a way of resetting 2 diamond pendants from my ex-boyfriend. One is a small single stone solitaire set in plat and one is a cross with 12 stones set in 18k WG. They are not substantial sizes but not too small either. I had them for ages and I am really bored with them. But selling them will get nothing. I am looking through the whole world to try to think of a design can accommodate all 13 stones. I want a single pendant set in plat or 18k WG. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated! :thinkin::thinkin:

I would do a floral / halo type design. The largest in the middle and then the others around it in a double halo or single halo depending on the size.

I don't know the stone sizes and thus how this would work out proportion-wise, but how about using some/all (dependent on sizes) of the 12 stones around about the single stone? This ring I think shows how a smaller centre stone and bigger stones can work out, instead of usually a more dainty halo on a bigger centre. What's the carat weight of your centre stone? HTH :smile1:

You can really do so much. You can do a bee. Use the large for the head and have the others set into the body. You could do the same for a butterfly, large one for the head and fill the wings with the others. You could do dangling chains with small diamonds hanging from the large one. You could do a larger disc pendant and set the small stones into it. You could do your initial or initials and set the diamonds into it. What kinds of things do you like?

amina.pink, your example is really nice! But will the design work as a pendant? I don't want a ring as that's left for the current boyfriend to fill. I have no idea how big is the lone diamond on the solitaire pendant. Not very big, maybe 0.25-0.3ct. The other 12 stones are slightly smaller.

Sure, and Blue Nile has a good return policy so when you get it if you hate it you can just return it. I think that is a perfect choice. You can try it with your ring when you get it, and we can then tell you yay or nay if you post pics :) :graucho: I didn't check first--your ring is plat or wg? theyh ave a wg version too of that ring.

I personally am not big on Brian Gavin's work simply because I have an unpleasant history with him from when he owned whiteflash. Im burned badly by them both so I don't want to really recommend them but it showed what I meant.

My ring is WG with a platinum head so I will probably go with a WG band - plus it will be under budget woo! I'm going to show DF and see what he says.

lilmoutaingirl, thank you so much for your suggestions! You have so many ideas! I generally like flora theme or a cluster setting. I have this favourite ruby ring which has a centre diamond and 6 oval rubies around it like a flower and then further 6 smaller diamonds in between the rubies. This is the kind of thing I like.

I've got to find the right pink pearl ring...I've been obsessing for more than a year now. recently I've also started thinking about a nice rose quartz ring, & an antique art deco ring.

For sure! You could do a bezel set type thing if you like it to be a bit more secure a la this -
