There are lots of designers, depends on your style and taste. I would search all the designer threads here for starters. there's something for everyone. My favs are Prada, fendi, chloe, balenciaga, chanel

Good luck in your search! I think that it is all what appeals to you by style, unless you are buying for the brand. If the latter is the case, here is a thread that could help. They talk alot about the bag "Food Chain"

Personally, of those that you asked about Balenciaga appeals to me first, then Miu Miu and Prada. Balenciaga is hot right now, but my favorites are the 05-07's. But they are all quite a change from Chanel and Louis which are more classic and timeless IMO. (but I am partial to LV)

I think my five favorites are (in no particular order): Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Chanel, Hermes, Bottega Veneta.

I'm not sure if you are referring to just the designers but IMO the top 5 designer bags or must haves would be the classic from each designer which is timeless and hold it's value well.

1) Hermes Birkin
2) Hermes Kelly
3) Chanel 2.55 reissue
4) Bottega Veneta Cabat
5) This is a tough one but if you like Balenciaga then the motorcycle bags, for LV the speedy etc I'm sure you get my drift.
