Hello, my name is Kelley. I am in dire need of any suggestions & expertise you'd be so kind as to offer me re: cleaning my Coach Purse. I have four sisters, one of whom borrowed my purse & returned it FILTHY. The serial number is: B0782-10663. It's a fabulous sky blue color made of a soft satin/silky material. The straps are canvas - sky blue on the outside & chocolate brown on the inside of the straps. There's also deeper blue leather pieces atop the canvas straps. It's recctangular in shape, has brown leather trim on the wide fron pocket, white stitching on the bottom corners & sides & very light blue suede trim along the from zipper pocket. It also has 2 sets of snaps(one on each top side of the bag for more closure.
I'm sorry for the longwinded description, but I'm simply agonizing over the condition it was in when I loaned it to my sister compared to now. Ink stains on the inside, the suede along the front is quite obviously filthy, & the soft fabric is stained with basic floor funk, I suppose. I"ve had many suggestions, such as: soak it in dawn liquid overnight, then wash it in the machine on cold/delicate cycle, etc. But, I"d be forever grateful for any of your suggestons. Sounds like your bag is a Hampton. I also have one. Yes, they are washable. But because of the suede, I wouldn't put it in the machine. Maybe just wipe it down with a soapy cloth/sponge and rinse with a clean cloth. Let it dry out and see if you need to do it again. I've done this with my canvas bags(Hampton, Mercer, and Signature Bucket tote)Worst case is to send it to the cleaners. Hope this helps you.
Can anyone tell me anything about the XL Poppy spotlight tote that was a Limited Edition? It is black satin with rhinestones that spell out COACH witthin lines of other rhinestones all across the front of the bag...at least the bottom half of the bag. The number is 13841. I can't find any information on the bag. Someone wants to sell me one and I don't have any pics to send in to authenticate. Help quickly if you can....thanks so much.
Sounds fun! I love kisslock bags. I also remember the distinct snap shut sound of my grandmother's "pocketbooks." That sound was serious. It meant no more treats for the rest of the day!
