YES. Weight is the determine factor. Even if I’m in love with a bag, if it’s too heavy it’s a deal breaker for me and I don’t get it.
I can totally believe it. I let go of one of the prettiest bags I own because the weight was such an issue. It was exhausting to carry, and I’m sure was no friend to my shoulders and back.
Truth! My Chanel GST is so heavy. In fact, I don't know how anyone uses it as an everyday bag. But many people do! The leather is really thick and heavy.
I guess it's for the looks, Chanel is Chanel, even if it's weight like a tank I bet someone would still wear it
and I agree with you too, the leather (caviar) on Chanel totes are very thick extremely study!
I have to say all these large Chanel totes are very eye-catching, everyone would notice it, everyone!
I'm not sure if I'm weight sensitive when it comes to bags. Many people think the Empreinte Artsy is heavy but I don't. My fav bag ATM (I think it's light) is the nm Empreinte SpeedyB 25.
I also will say that when I worked I stuffed my bags and now that I'm a SAHM I keep the bare necessities.

Regarding your SpeedyB... is there anything you would change about it if you could? I am thisclose to buying one. (Have been wanting to tell you I was eyeing the one you bought when POOF! it was gone! Lol)
I believe I may have posted this in another thread on the forum. Many years ago, one of my employees years ago, carried a leather Samsonite shoulder bag as her daily purse. She was small framed and her body began bending/leaning to the right side (the shoulder she carried her bag on). Her doctor told her the old remedy is carry the bag on the opposite side to correct her posture and then stop carrying the bag.
Heavy backpacks are destructive as well and promote kyphosis. Persons who wear backpacks daily have a tendency to bend over, leaning the head forward. Over time the spine begins to adapt to this "bent" posture and begins to curve. Kyphosis is not uncommon in older persons, but younger adults are beginning to show evidence of the condition.
The hardware on the original model is lovely but much heavier than that used on canvas Speedy, so bag is inherently heavier. That’s my only thing I’d change about it.
I take out all my change in wallet when I carry this bag, and reduce number of keys because it isn’t light, not super heavy but again heavier than canvas. The Epi Speedy is light, so if weight is a concern you might consider it, I use mine often.
Altho’ I love the look of the Empriente and the wide opening this is definitely food for thought. Thanks.
There actually were 2 things I wanted to change, so I did. The strap was too long cross body so I had a cobbler add 3 extra holes. I also preferred the zipper pulls on the om Empreinte Speedy so l changed my zipper pulls too. Now imo the bag is perfect for me!
You were eyeing this one on FP too? I felt like I got lucky because I was going to make the purchase from LV the next day then I saw this one online at like 3am for $800 less than retail! I bought it on the spot!!!

Great job making the bag your own. And yes, I went back and forth - buy the bag or not? Even though I was sooo disappointed to miss the purchase Im happy to see someone get the bag who so obviously enjoys it. Thanks for the info, and I hope you continue to enjoy your bag for long time.
