the only jewelry i wont wear while at the gym is bracelets or watches because they can catch easily.......larger hoop earrings and rings that are made of a soft metal and can bend and become "square" while lifting need to come off

otherwise i have never had a problem wearing any jewelry at the gym.....same can even be said for playing sports like baseball and footbal in high school

my rule is that if it doesnt dangle.....and wont be exposed to the possibility of being caught on something......its ok

I always leave my wedding rings and watch on if I am just doing cardio. If my necklace and earrings are simple I will leave those, too. We went to our personal trainer yesterday and for the first time ever I forgot to take my wedding set off before we left. I didn't want to put it in my bag (the bags hang right by the door and it's next to a busy grocery store so there are people walking by all the time) so I left it on and I HATED it. I was constantly checking that it wasn't scratched or a diamond hadn't popped out after every set of weights. Won't be doing that again and if I do I will ask my trainer to put it in her desk drawer.

For exercising or working in the yard, I only wear stud earrings. I don't wear any rings, bracelets, or watch because I don't want any circulation restrictions & I don't wear a necklace just because I don't want it to get hung up on anything. Once I've showered, the jewelry goes on.
