Wearing Jewelry While Exercising

I was terrified that I'd lose my jewelry/scratch it when working out, so I purchased a hinge single slot pill box that can hold my earrings/necklace/rings. The box kinda looks like this:

I always wear my engagement ring to the gym. I am paranoid to leave it home or in a locker even though it is insured. It's held up well even though I go almost every day do cardio and life weights. I usually keep my earrings in unless they are dangly. Bracelets and necklaces come off UNLESS I already had them on when I arrive at the gym, then they stay on.

hello..i think exercise is just for relaxation and if you are feeling relax and comfortable with your jewelry while exercising than there is no issue to carry it,but if it is opposite than you should remove this.and you must be feel comfortable as much as you can.

i always wear my diamonds by the yard necklace and my diamond stud thats in my cartilage piercing. i usually wear my engagement ring and sometimes ill leave my earrings in (usually only if their studs or huggies that day)

I do a lot of running and yoga. In terms of accessories while sweating, I try not to wear silver since it oxidizes easily and getting it wet especially with sweat is probably a fast way to get the tarnishing process started. But with gold and platinum, think it should be fine. I wear a few gold necklaces (but mostly delicate and lightweight) as well as stud earrings. If I had to take them off, I would probably lose 'em! I think the key is to keep hands free of accessories so that you can lift weights or do floor exercises without pinching yourself :)

I was told by my jeweler to avoid wearing gold while working out or showering (since you can get soap scum buildup on the tiny surfaces) but I'm just too lazy. Getting myself to the gym is already a challenge, why add any more tasks, lol!

I never take off my love bracelet so that stays on during exercise. Also, my earrings stay on, studs mainly, because I can't stand to look at myself without earrings. I will say that doing tae bo with the love bracelet is a pain (clanging into my wrist during the punching sequences), but I'm not going to unscrew the bracelet just to work out.

I run on the treadmill with all of my jewelry on (bracelet, ring earring and necklace). When I skated more often I wouldn't wear a bracelet in case I fell, I wouldn't want it to get smashed! I pretty much only wear comfortable pieces that are durable so I never worry about them when I exercise.
