A friend of mine got contact dermatitis underneath her wedding ring. She was cleaning with her wedding ring on and using bleach...it looked like a pink line on her ring finger underneath the ring.

Our esthetician teacher at the time recommended taking the ring off for a while and lightly massaging an Ultra Calming serum into the contact dermatitis everyday and then it gradually got a lot better.

I never take anything off. Unless I am cleaning them or switching them out for othe pieces. I have 12 Sterling silver bracelets my platinum wedding rings including diamond engagement ring and gold earrings and two gold chains. I have never had a problem. And the funny thing is I have super sensitive skin. Can only use unscented or natural body wash and things like that.

I find earrings and necklace so uncomfortable to wear during sleeping time. I did once to my necklace when i just purchased it but i just cant do it. I cant sleep without any ring or a bracelet though.

As much as possible i try not to wet my rings. I remove it when i do the dishes or i shower. I heard that water is one of the cause of wear in gold. Its also recommended to take it off especially in the pool or sea water. When you wash your hand though in a public place, put your rings on your pocket rather than the side of the sink. You might forget it.
