Hey dear bag lovers,
I've been wondering if it's ok to be wearing designer bags (prada, d&g, tods, salvatore ferragamo --- not all time staple bags) that are in Ok-ish condition but that are over 5 years old, from old collections? What is your take on this?

People on this forum are handbags enthusiast. So, we know bag names and when they were the most popular. The average person does not know or care unless the bag looks dated, but they don't matter unless you are trying to impress them. I like to keep my bags until their worn out or when I find something I like more. I got compliments on my old bags and people were impressed on the great condition of the bag. Continue wearing your bag if it makes you happy. Most people only notice our bags when they find them beautiful.

and what if its not a classic? Say, i have a lily 5 zip bag which obviously comes from their old line hmmmm

I have many bags that are way past the 5-yr mark and I feel like I'm making the bags into classics by carrying them. I don't care what people think of me or the things I wear, but I have respect for people and the bags they carry especially when I see someone with a bag that's old and well kept.

Why not?? I have bags that are 20 years + & wear them with the same level of
enthusiasm as when I first bought them.

I don't like a bag to look beat up but I do care for my bags & like to keep
them looking as good as they can possibly be
