I like to match metals. If I'm wearing a silver-coloured watch, my other accessories have to match. The one I wear mostly is my stainless MOP Rolex. For nights, I usually switch to the Cartier Tank Americaine.

Mmmmm, this is a fun thread!

I think that planning long-term for watches is a fantastic idea - it suits my personality, I also have a long-term jewellery wishlist:shame:

So at the moment:

Cartier two-tone tank - wear for work, evening and weekends

Tag aquaracer with pink MOP dial and diamond markers - wear for weekends and evening

I also have a Gucci my mother bought me for my 16th (she's such a great Mum!). But I don't wear it much because the catch is a bit loose and it kept falling off :s

My next watch will be a Rolex - I'm looking for something a bit sporty and classic. I have decided that I need at least the midsize (31mm) as I tried one in a ladies size and it just looked tiny. So am keeping searching!

Fantasy wishlist for watches:

Rolex w/gold pearlmaster with white face & diamond bezel:love:

Cartier w/gold Tankissime

For me, I love Cartier watches.

Everyday: I like my stainless steel Pasha

Gold: Large automatic Tank Francaise with alligator strap

Two-tone: Large automatic Ballon Bleu

I just love the classic and sophisticated design of Cartier watches.

My ideal watches to have would be...

Just two...

One with small diamonds and solid gold, white or yellow..
Another one in solid rose gold....small diamonds or even none at all would do if the look was right...

Both by great watch makers to enjoy for a lifetime...only if I had the money...sigh....:girlsigh:

I just a white gold and stainless mop diamond dial Rolex and that is going to be my one and only watch for quite some time. My other jewelry is white gold and silver David Yurman, some of which has small yellow gold accents. I don't feel that my watch, jewlery and bag hardware has to match. I think that gold and silver colored metals work well and complement each other rather then looking mismatched. I agree watches are becoming just like handbags, there a great way to show your personal taste and style!

I'm not super anal about mixing metals, although I have been giving myself fits lately trying to decide what color hardware to get on a black Chanel or Balenciaga. :confused1: Black is tough b/c both look good, whereas some bags look better with one color hardware.

Most of my everyday jewelry is silver/white gold/platinum, but I do LOVE mixed metal jewelry, like David Yurman! I feel that having on 1 mixed metal piece helps tie together different colored metals, kind of like a transiton piece. That being said, I really don't like mixed metal watches, I think they look dated.

Well, I no longer make watches. lol So I'm totally looking for one. My coworker friend lent me a beautiful ESQ swiss watch that is really cool but a little too bulky for what I really want. There are a couple Movado watches that I like.
