Rado, Tissot, Movado, Seiko, Longines etc. I’m in the minority, but I say go for it, get a watch now. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having several watches of different price points to serve different purposes. One day when you buy your dream watch, you’ll still be able to wear the others whenever you see it necessary.

I agree. OP can get a more affordable watch now and still wear it after she gets her "dream watch"
I have a Rolex and still sometimes wear my movado. with the rolex since it's autumatic, you have to pretty much wear it every day if you want it to keep running (unless you're a collector and you have some contraption to move it around). A quartz watch requires changing the battery but not often and it doesn't require any winding or any maintenance that I know of.
Aren't Rado mostly around $2,000?

Life is short. Buy what you can afford now and make your self happy for the next 2 years. Anything can happen while you are saving for your dream watch so why hinder your desire (and needs).

i don't have super expensive watches. And I'll be very good with Seiko because i have fond memories of this brand and they make good watches that last a long time.

I would like to add a watch to my stack. I'm not ready for my dream watch. I'm working with a limited budget.
Any suggestions for a watch in the $700-$800 dollar range?
I just noticed you said add to your stack....so you already have several watches? would the $700 watch be better than the ones you have? If not, then maybe you should save up for your dream watch.

My rado was much less than that but they might be cheaper in Europe?

You can get a rado from about £500 here.

I guess the ceramic ones they are more known for are around $2,000 but they also sell less expensive watches

I 10/10would recommend a elegance symphonet two tone ( 18k rose gold) .. I have the 21mm LOVE IT. I do not baby it and it still looks as good as the day a bought it. I think they are about 1600.00 USD now it is worth saving a lil more and so beautiful.
