Watch and bag for "black tie" event

For a small bag, I recommend this eye glass case. Of course it only works if you do not mind exposed temples

Not appropriate for super formal occasions, but a bag I carry a lot (including at night without the shoulder strap) is the Loewe mini puzzle.

Crash is one of the most iconic and special watches of all time, never mind it's Carter.
Yes, for sure. I think it's a good idea she's going to wear it as the Crash stands out so we do not have to put as much attention to the other details as we otherwise would have to.

For me I'm still between the purple better fitting Moser & Cie or the custom made pinkish Cintrée.

And thank you all for the suggestions. Finally, we decided on the C de Cartier for her. It's less dominant than the others and large enough - a clutch just does not work for her.

Amazing what is needed for such an event: All the planning including transportation (okay we will be picked up by a limousine but still all the other stuff), hairdresser, clothing including but not limited by a Tux, a bowtie, pocket square, getting the required masks, re-learning to dance the Waltz .... never ending.

Not really sure if photography is allowed - such a high class event. Will see.

So far the plan is like the following:

For me
Tuxedo, off-white shirt, black shoes
Bow tie and pocket square either black or velvet
Moser or Cintrée
velvet Mask
One or more Panthère pavé rings
a few Loves (don't want to take them off / cannot do it anyway as they are glued), Panthère Massai bracelet or WG dia JUC

For her
Cocktail velvet gown
Crash
either SM WG pavé Love or Panthère Massai pavé bracelet or WG dia JUC or Panthere chain bracelet
C de Cartier bag black
Mask

Hope this does not go too o.t. here but we are talking about a Cartier event still

Love it all! Have an amazing time, post pics if you can! Love crash and panthere!

Traditional etiquette states that as a custom, women do not wear watches to formal black tie events as it focuses on time and is insulting to the host.

That said, we are in modern times and it is a party hosted by a purveyor of watches!

So throw that out the window and wear the fanciest ones!

Crash! Rare! Beautiful! Special!

Hope you have a lovely time!

Your outfits and accessories sound divine and I'm sure it will be a wonderful evening!

Okay thank you so much for all your advice. The event was really something special. Limousine service all days long, excellent dinner, perfect hotel. The ball masqué was not as strict as feared - more a cocktail party with excellent food and some guests even did not even follow the dresscode. Some attendees had no jewelry, others colliers in the millions. What they did really nice was that in the exhibition rooms where they had famous paintings - imagine the Louvre but way smaller - there were pedestals where models showed the new collection in addition to gentle music.

Surely I am not allowed to post any personal pictures but at least this one here to get you an idea.

Stunning. Is it allowed to share the release timing of the new collection?

Not yet, still a few more weeks to go. At least all accessories are arriving bit by bit. Still awaiting my Tuxedo and the mask. Starting to get really nervous about the event :flowers:
Just checked and saw your beautiful pic! How absolutely amazing! Thank you for posting it! I will keep checking back in case you have more pics or updates :D

Just learned that Demi Moore was there as well. Okay I am not into movies so I would not have recognized her at all, she was wearing a mask anyway :flowers:

My mask, however, was considered the very best ... so I was kinda the star at the event as many told me
