I got to smell Volynka leather recently and loved it. Definitely not for everyone but if you like fumes/gasoline you’ll like Volynka. Sadly it wasn’t a piece that worked for me but I hope one day there is one!

If whatever leather you smelled gave you fumes/gasoline vibes, then it wasn’t real Volynka.
Interesting. It was in an Hermès store and labeled as Volynka. Perhaps we just have different impressions of the smell.
May I ask what piece it was please, if you don't mind? I'm always so excited when a store receives something in Volynka. It means it's still being regularly sent out. Thank you! 💖
A men’s wallet. It was great. It just didn’t work for me or as a gift.
Yup, it's the tar, it smelled like a newly laid road whilst still burning hot.
I saw this beauty on Instagram! I wonder what’s retail price? Does anyone know what’s at approximate range price on Volynka at H store?
IIRC we bought our Plume 40 in 2022 and it was about 9-10K€, so this bag when it came out was probably in that range or less.

We have a Plume and an HAC as far as I can remember - I feel like we have another bag in Volynka but can't recall (it's late here) 😭 Both still have the smell but it doesn't fill up the room anymore. They look pretty much as when purchased - we occasionally brush them with the provided brush but there's less "bloom" than with Barenia.
