The Manhattan GM is more than $200 cheaper in France! & the Deauville is about $150 cheaper! Make sure you get it in Paris before you come home. Plus, how great would it be to buy LV in Paris. Too bad when I go to Paris all the money will be spent on the airplane ticket! lol

Thanks for sharing! I would love to go to the Champs Elysees store. The SA treated you and your friend so well, and gave you champagne, which was awesome!

Well, the VAT 12% tax back was the icing on the cake- I walked her over to the desk and helped her through that one- she is getting something along the lines of 150 euros back on her credit card! So- it's cheaper, AND you get a refund.

I, on the other hand, seriously doubt my lovely Deauville is coming home with me this trip... I simply can't swing it quite yet. My hubby and I are selling our apt in NYC, and when that happens- we will be fluuush.

.. okay- well, most of it has to go into the house we're going to buy - but i feel CERTAIN I can find enough to have a little pretty pretty :D

Does anyone know- What the prices are like in Tokyo? I know that is going to be a scary question, but I work there too early next year and we get a per diem. We try to eat cheap and save it for something nice by the end of the trip... I thought perhaps...

I love your story....ChristineNYC. I've never gone there before but when I do, I think I will be walking from the first floor to the last one and analyzing every single detail of the store. Sounds like an investigation trip right? kekeke.....
I will become like a kid yearning for a candy!!!

What a great service you had!!! Drinking champagne, attended personally by an SA....it sounds like both of you are VIPs. I hope that you can get the deauville as soon as possible!!!
