I popped into a boutique. Tried to get some details.

The SA did not know who VV was and did not know the creative director was gone.

Not sure she knew what a creative director is.

lmao maybe she’s new to luxury fashion?

My SA was so excited about VV leaving she texted me as soon as the news broke, and she usually doesn’t text me anything outside of collection launches and product availability.

I've been wearing my bags occasionally, but mostly because I have them already. They are harder for me to style.

Directives to creatives delivered by management and CFOs never end well.

Companies may want to grow and grow, but this constant pandering to a new target markets rather than catering to loyal clients is one of the most dim-witted business strategies. Not just Chanel.

Having said that, there here have been times when I've winced whilst walking past a Chanel Boutique window, and she is responsible for the vision.

I feel sorry for her, all the workers, but I'm not heart-broken.
Agree 101% with bolded.

it’s a shame she couldn’t be there to take the credit for her work..
Very sad. At minimum she deserved to be properly honored for her time spent at the brand. Super Dacob’s recent videos have provided interesting insight to potentially/allegedly how badly Virginie has been wronged, and if what he says is true, I don’t blame her for not appearing today.
