Vintage vs Magic earclips.

I have a pair of Turquoise wg vintage earclips. I'm thinking of adding a pair of Magic earclips in either MOP, Onyx, or Malachite. Can anyone post some pictures of the size comparison between the two, and also pictures of these stones in the Magic size. Thanks.

Thank you for the photo. Very helpful. The turquoise earclips were bought on a whim several years ago in Las Vegas. I love them.

I am terribly sorry I am just now seeing your question! I really think either size is fine! I think I prefer Magic, but I am getting white gold mother of pearl pieces and the earrings only come in vintage size. I haven't decided whether to get them or just wear pearl earrings! I wish they'd add more Magic earrings!

Please don’t be sorry. I appreciate your response. I am still debating on which size to pair with my YG 10 motif necklace. It feels vintage is the right size, but like you said, I prefer magic too because it has better presence. In the meantime, I wear pearl studs or diamond studs as well.

I thought I preferred Magic, especially as I am tall and have very very thick long hair, so I thought vintage would be lost. However, wearing them in real life, not in the store, same as the magic pendant I find they have too much presence and too much of a logo-y energy on me. Worn alone I'd rather wear large-ish (or very large) non-branded earrings, and worn with a full or partial alhambra set I think vintage makes the better match and feels more like a set. On their own or with non-matching pieces I feel like vintage can be worn as very low key earrings, but for me the magic end up being among the pieces I rarely/never reach for although I thought I preferred them both conceptually and in the store, hasn't worked out that way IRL

thanks for sharing your thought process. I am fairly talk with thick long dark hair. so I had the same worry that the vintage size will get lost. On the other hand, I feel vintage goes better with 10 motif. Good to know that you don't reach for the magic pieces. I asked my SA to put me on the Waitlist now.

Congrats on your Magic onyx! That's a great point about wearing larger earrings when not wearing a necklace. If you get a chance, please post a picture on the earring thread!

Congratulations on your magic onyx too. Since I want a pair of earrings to complete my YG MOP 10 motif, I guess vintage is the way to go.
