I have noticed that since the pandemic hit, there are lots of vintage LV bags being carried by lots of ppl on the streets. These bags which have not seen the light of day are being brought out as casual/ low key handbags with no fuss.

It's like a resurrection of old vintage goodies. So I thought I would start a thread. What have you seen around YOUR neighborhood?

Yesterday at COSTO, I saw a vintage Odeon. And a Saint Cloud! I loved them both. Quite amazing.

I've never stopped using my monogram canvas Keepall 55 Bandouliere, purchased in the mid 80's by my father. Unfortunately the strap is long gone (and a new strap would be so mismatched), so it's relegated to weekend car trips.

On occasion, my mother uses her monogram canvas Alma, purchased in 1994, and just recently pulled out her mid 90's Epi Sac Tricot.

Funny, yesterday in supermarket I saw someone carrying a vintage Odeon as well.

I guess I see this trend because of skyrocketing prices on LV goods and ppl realizing that they already have SOMETHING in the closet they're not using. So they brought them out.

I have a Saumur 30 since 2013 that I almost never use. Back in the days, I bought it for travel, and worldly adventures. But my fantasy never came true. I worked and used my speedys, alma, sac plat, and other traditional pieces for my 9 to 5.

I am more of a lurker around here but when I saw this, I had to react:smile:. Great observation! The other day at Target I saw a woman with a Hudson GM bag. I loved it!
Welcome lurker. Sometimes I thought about taking wild life photos of these sightings but fear I would be found out. Hahaha.

OK. The Stephen Sprouse neverfull was me.
Then This bag I came across in March.

Today I saw the most beat up Noe. I mean the most beat up, cracks, very, very dark patina, it's in disarray, but somehow I really liked it on the girl. She wore it completely carefree, at this point, it's just another bag. And why not? Not every LV piece have to be pristine.

Sorry I didn't take a pic. My hands were busy holding my dog and my Starbucks!
