Does anyone know if an Ipad fits into a Willis..Im a samsung girl and my tablet is a strange size and mum only has an Ipad mini.

I believe @Paris Girl was saying something about her ipad fitting into her willis over in the vintage coach chat thread

eta: just went back and looked, she said her medium sized ipad so Im assuming its the regular size in the middle of a pro and mini :)

Cool...was going to get the bro a briefcase for christmas but might do a willis instead...will keep looking to see what I can find. Briefcase might be too heavy. Is a willis masculine enough do you think?

The leather in the vintage Willis is flexible enough I can easily fit my iPadPro (9.7) with or without the protective case.

Willis is sold as a unisex bag but it’s more purse size than brief size. It would depend on the man receiving the bag as to his preferences.

Here are some photos. The case I use adds bulk and I still have room.

Leather briefcases are heavy. It helps to get the wider briefcase strap with the shoulder guard. It depends on how much he carries.

My hubby is a pilot and I gave up trying to get him a stylish bag for all his flyboy stuff. Lol! He carries less now that he does so much on his iPad filing flight plans, checking weather, etc. Still, he likes the flight cases pilots carry with the wheelie thingies. They are all made of ripstop nylon and can take a beating. Oh well, I’m the stylish one in the family I guess! Good luck with your gift choice! I’m thinking you should select a nice, lightweight briefcase. I have seen people using guitar straps in lieu of traditional handbag straps so that might be an option for a briefcase strap.

They're kind of rare but if you want a smaller, lighter brief type bag then a School Bag might work. It's larger but skinnier than a Willis and has an East West shape, more like a mini brief case. Here's a photo of mine next to my standard sized Samsung tablet. It has a full length zippered pocket inside and two half length non-zippered pockets under the flap, no back pocket. I would swap out the strap with something more masculine though. The one it comes with is pretty dainty.

Thank you both...its given me something to think about. I need to make a choice and buy by beginning of November for it to get here and have it rehabbed by christmas.

Thanks for sharing! May I ask what do you like and don’t like about each bag?
I love both really. The 9170 is a bit smaller but I love the shape and the way it carries. I find I have to organize a bit more carefully, esp now that I am using a full size wallet. But everything fits and it is a lovely bag to carry. The stewardess is a little roomier and there is never a problem with space. Both have a long pocket in front under the flap, but the stewardess has an extra little bonus pocket where the turn lock attaches that works great for my work badge. I also like the turn lock closure because it feels a little more secure to me and adds a nice bit of style, and that the stewardess has feet. That’s the other thing, and it may just be the age and types of bags I picked up, but the 9170 is a bit firmer leather, and all of my stewardesses are so soft and squishy, but do hold their shape. One last thing is that I haven’t owned my 9170 long enough to know if is happens to them as well, but I noticed when I was hunting for a stewardess that a lot of them have wear in the piping where the top flap goes over the top of the bag, especially in the back corners of the pieces that attach the buckles to the sides. So if you are hunting, be sure to look at the corners of the bags at the top opening carefully. Some wear is not a big deal but you have to gauge for yourself what you are comfortable with.

Comparison of navy court bag and mahogany ranch bag. The ranch is quite a bit bigger and has a gusseted front pocket, while the court's front pocket is flat. Both have an outside back pocket and an inside zip pocket. The maximum shoulder drop length on the ranch is about 20 inches so a bit short for crossbody unless you are short. The court has a longer drop.

Ohhh yes! I want the ranch! The back pocket seals the deal for me.
