You get about twice the space in a Manor as you would in a Court. It's a little heavier than the Court but that doesn't bother me at all. It does bother others here. The top handle is high enough that you can stick your arm through it for a quick hands free option. I recommend you try one! I have several Courts and several Manors and I find myself reaching for the Manor far more often than the Court because I need the extra capacity.
Wow, that sounds great, thanks! I find such different measurements floating around for the Manor and it looks so compact in photos. I've always assumed it fits a bit more than the court, or rather the same amount but with a little more wiggle room.
I don't mind heavy bags. Do you carry yours by the top handle much? With the Court I sometimes feel the top handle is more decorative than functional, it seems to warp the little loops a lot.

Hello to everyone!
I am a long-time lurker and have stalked this thread and others from afar for ages. I've finally signed up for selfish reasons - I need a tribe to geek out over vintage coach with, and I don't think there is another place on the internet that can answer my burning questions.
Here is one: I'm thinking of adding a Manor to my modest collection. My current workhorse is a Court, which is perfect for almost everything but a little on the small side. I love the idea of having many compartments for organization and the added layer of security on the Manor, but how much space would I really gain? Could any of you lucky people who have both entertain me with a comparison photo of the bags plus contents?
Also, if there is a place where I should introduce myself, please kindly direct me to it.
I rehomed my court bag for being a little too small and thought the Manor would follow it because I don’t like divided bags, but I loved the Manor. However they made it, I could put my obese wallet in one side and not have it steal space from the other compartment. It held a lot, I think because of its height. It is heavy because the leather is so thick. I used the handle for a couple weeks, found the grip and weight uncomfortable, started using the shoulder strap and had no more complaints.

Here’s some comparison photos! I don’t have anything in the bags, but the Manor has abouttwice the interior space of the Court.

I actually reach for my Courts more often than my Manor, but if I want to add an umbrella or water bottle, the Manor is my go-to!

Another bright green pocket purse! Damaged however. Good candidate for stickers, patches or allover tea roses or whatever customization one might want! @Punkkitten wanna do another one?

awww...poo it sold! Those are the best bags because they are inexpensive because of the damage but so easily "refurbished" because all you need to do is stick a fun patch over it! (that is actually what I did to the first bag I customized. It was a Gucci with a big pink stain.

Lots of stalking eBay and Mercari later, I stumbled across an eBay listing for "vintage brown coach messenger bag."

For $35 starting bid.

And it was a prescott.

otherwise impossible to find for under $150, I got it authenticated here, bid, and held my breath.

Well it just arrived today, folks. And it's BEAUTIFUL.

It has a few scratches, some that'll hopefully buff out, others probably not, but I don't care, I love it. It's not too heavy either, and really just the right size!

$55 after taxes and shipping. I'm over the moon
