You're welcome. You can't tell the age from the creed on bags made before 1994. The Sheridans were made in the early 90's. I really have no idea what it is worth - it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it at the time. There are services like Worthpoint that show you what bags like it have sold for in the past. You can also check the completed listings on ebay.
Just curious, why don't you want to keep it?
Twins on the geometric bag! The green is gorgeous! The black one is really called the Legacy crescent, 9718. I had one of these, but I found the curved flap made it really hard to get the bag to open wide. The little black one looks like a compact pouch 9620.This is giving me something to ponder on, but I don't think I could only own 5...the ones I could never part with are my red slim duffle, black duffle sac, black crescent bag (don't know if that's the real name), green geometric, and my very first love which I also don't know the name of but is pictured here.View attachment 2291217
Wow that is a fantastic deal! I have all the colors except black and brown, and they each cost me more than that! My white geometric was my first purchase when I started getting into vintage and near vintage bags.Thank you! I appreciate your help with the names, and I love the green, I found it on sale for $22 (not a typo!) in 1999, and it's a fun bag for going out and such. Wish I had more! But isn't that the way...
I wouldn't mind seeing some pictures.I just re-read this entire thread and realized I have so many OTHER BAGS I love and want on the list haha. Just found a whole new Sheridan briefcase/tote that I've never seen before that I'd add to my Sheridan fave list!!! Great stuff posted here by EVERYONE!
I wouldn't mind seeing some pictures.![]()
Why, why, OH WHY did I ever start this thread???? It just made my "Must Have" list bigger! Thanks so much to all of you for sharing your faves! I have now decided that I really need:
A Berkley - whateve, your red saddle bag is TDF! I'm sure red is hard to find, so I may satisfy myself with another color - for now
A Madison Biltmore or Copley - whateve & Jessi & porter4- blaming this one on all of you!
Rambler's Legacy - Hyacinth, I am blaming you for this one! You've convinced me that I need at least one with a longer strap.
A Sonoma - Hyacinth again! I hadn't really looked at these before, but I think I am falling in love with the nubuc. Just found a purple one on evilbay!
Thanks everyone (I think).........![]()
Here is pic of Navy Blue I just bought recently but hasn't arrive. Seller said the name is: Bonnie Cashin Metal Tag Hippie bag.

- A Vintage I've seen on eBay with described as

- Any unique shape in bright color! [emoji7]
Hyacinth, I just have to say how much we vintage Coach lover's LOVE you (and Whateve as well) for schooling us all in what to look for and not get ripped off!Just a quick word of warning - ALWAYS have any apparently vintage bags in unusual colors authenticated here. Most of Coach's older styles were available in a handful of standard colors, and many of the more colorful ones you'll find for sale are actually fakes. Except for some genuine Cashin styles, true classic and vintage glove-tanned Coach bags never came in colors like Bubble gum Pink and Lime Green. Coach started adding color with the mid-1990s Madisons and Sonomas, and many bags from the later 1990s came in great pastels or bright colors (like the Geometric Bags shown in some of the above photos that literally came in a rainbow of colors) but in general bright colors were very unusual and should always be carefully authenticated.
Also be careful looking at photos - many colors don't show accurately because of the quirks of digital cameras, camera settings, or lighting. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten my hopes up thinking I've found a great classic or vintage bag in Purple, only to find it was actually brown but just looked purple in the photos. That's a very common problem in many photos.
And again, ALWAYS have anything you're thinking of buying or may have found at a thrift or garage sale authenticated here. The number of counterfeits of classic leather Coaches is truly scary and some even have high-quality leathers and good workmanship. Luckily for us the crooks usually messed up the creeds, serial numbers or hardware but some have been scarily accurate.
Also remember - COACH HAS NEVER MADE HANDBAGS IN KOREA.
