Thank you to @CoachChris for sharing this page from the 1991 Anniversary Catalog which shows the Retro Lindy Bag 9003 and other "Limited Edition Retro Bags" from that release; she hopes to scan and post the entire catalog.

She is the TPFer that first identified my Lindy a decade ago, so thanks again!

It would be great to add scans from that book to the collection! I have the actual paper catalog but no way to scan it. It would be nice to include the first 2 pages with the photos from "The Factory" and also the color swatches near the center .

This is awesome!! Thank you! I’ve always wondered what the catalog pics of these looked like. I have a Lindy and a Swing bag, would love to add a stroll tote one day

@CoachChris has kindly sent more scans from the 1991 Anniversary Catalog including the special pages that @Hyacinth requested. I've uploaded 2 versions of the same page of Swatches because the colors are difficult to distinguish.

A BIG "Thank You" to both of you! :flowers:

I have told my oldest niece if anything happens to me suddenly, that she should take the pick of what she wants and then offer the remaining to my other nieces and then sisters. And then sell the rest for whatever she can get. When I said jokingly recently, should I tuck a piece a paper inside each one with the year, name and #, she was all, oh yes! She has dabbled in some vintage Coach.
You will fit in here just fine:lol:
I think it’s a great idea! My grandmother did that early on, with her well-organized, vast antique collection in her “good” dining room. Even as kids, we’d say, “Let’s see who’s getting this“ and turn an object over to see who’s name was written under it. The big score for us as kids, of course, was this real, stuffed, mounted (yes, taxidermy) bird we were fascinated with. Unfortunately, it had my uncle’s name under it. I still have items in my home - a few old crocks that my dad, her son-in-law, gave me because he has so many - that I dust and I’ll look under them and see “Sidney” written there!! My grandmother was a character and what she did helped out a lot when it came time to clear the belongings from her house and it added a chuckle, too. I know she would’ve loved it!

This is my first post on this forum, and the reason I found the forum! I was looking for vintage coach catalog photos and stumbled upon this treasure trove…thank you all for sharing!

Welcome to tPF, we hope you'll find them useful

BUT - fair warning! Looking through those pages can lead to a serious expansion of your Coach "Holy Grail" or "Gotta Find One Of Those" lists and a serious reduction of your bank balance.

Have fun, but remember to post any vintage Coach purchases you're considering in the Authenticate This Coach thread in the Coach Shopping forum. Sometimes people assume that vintage Coaches weren't faked but that's not true at all. Save yourself from disappointment and financial loss by checking everything BEFORE you buy or commit. No matter how much someone believes they know about Coach, the authenticators and forum members here probably know a bit more.

Let’s just say that mental wish lists have been made! I stayed up quite late last night looking through these pages…there’s too many beautiful bags!! I am really loving the spring color palettes, I haven’t seen many of those in my searches. Particularly kiwi, leaf and glacier. So gorgeous. Thank you for the welcome and the heads up regarding authenticity. I had no idea there are so many fakes out there. I have a bag on the way currently, hopefully she’s authentic.

Post your new Coach in the Authenticate This thread when you receive it and we can probably tell you. The links to the Coach Shopping forum and sub-forums are at the top of every page about Coach.

Speaking of trying to make sense of prices, and of questions no one asked -

The MYSTERIOUS "MILLIS" has finally made an appearance!

After last month's barely subtle attack on YouTube I thought it would never happen. The ID of the Etsy seller may ring a bell - VintageCoach4Less. Just for the record, I do NOT like that person, and he has made no secret of the fact that he hates my guts. There are at least a dozen posts by me here at tPF that prove it including his multiple names and offenses against other tPF members, not to mention his "HYACINTH, R.I.P" photoshopped pic that could be legally construed as a threat.

A few of you may have seen this Unique style's introduction on YouTube a month ago where a nice rather elderly (i.e. about my age, 65-70-something) lady was persuaded by the bag's "creator" to make and post a YT video singing its praises and extolling the bag's unique features. She praised the bag and its creator warmly and quoted the general price range that he'd mentioned he planned to list the bags for, IIRC it was about $550-$650 depending on color.

Another regular YouTuber and Coach collector, also a lady in her 60s or 70s (who had mentioned that she was recovering from Covid as was her family) made the fatal mistake of putting up a separate video under her own ID (I won't mention either one because those 2 ladies apparently knew each other and have already had enough grief from this situation) as a response to the first lady's YT video that she had made something similar but for much less money, and also added a few things she disagreed with that the creator had told the first lady about the price, value and ease of use with that added top handle.

Well, it didn't take long for the "creator" to get wind of it and hit back at Lady #2 and indirectly at Lady #1 who had done HIM a favor by promoting his "Millis". He posted a derogatory reply to Lady #2's post and according to her also posted or sent what she said were threats against her and her family. He also sat by silently while several of the "Pit Bullies" from at least one of his private Facebook groups took over the criticisms aimed at both ladies, one of whom Lady #1 had described as being "Dave's rehabber". I believe the lady described her as Michelle. I think Purple is her favorite color.

I Saved many of the posts in Lady #2s video Comments, some obviously from the "Millis"s creators fans and even more from other posters standing behind the 2 ladies. Sadly they both were so upset that they decided to remove both videos, instead of filing a complaint with YouTube for harassment, so both videos are gone although a few people here at tPF may remember them. The second lady sounded near tears when she recorded and posted her decision and the first lady found out what her new creator "friend" was really like. The self- anointed "creator" probably displayed one of the most disgusting reactions I've ever seen on YouTube or any other supposedly 'friendly" social media site. (Just for the record, he also did something almost as classless a year ago, when some OTHER lady who was just showing off (NOT selling!) some of her treasured vintage Coaches made the mistake of unwittingly showing what was actually a fake. Not only did the "creator" bug her to let him see the creed (which she didn't) but for the next 3 or 4 days he kept posting in the PUBLIC Comments of that video that "THAT BAG IS FAKE" and publicly shaming and embarrassing that poor lady. She eventually must have complained to YouTube because his posts were finally removed.

Here is the YouTube post exactly as it was PUBLICLY posted on YouTube by the "Millis" creator using one of his alternate IDs, January 16, 2022.Please note the Bolded description of where he acquires his Murphys:
"Dave Edwards

@vintage C**** C******** FYI, your bag is not a 'Millis' Bag. That is my Idea and my creation. Please don't say that. That name is MY name, not yours. My Millis bags are much more involved than what you are suggesting in your Video. My bags have another authentic adjustable coach strap that fits nicely in the back of the D-rings, they are for the most part re-purposed trash bags, including the original Murphy strap, so they can be restored to the original state. These bags are not like your Murphy with a willis handle on them. They are carefully professionally restored, with all instructions and directions to restore to the original Murphy bags, and aren't just slapped together with a handle from a willis bag like yours. A lot of time and money and consideration went into these bags and I do NOT appreciate your novice appraisal of them. Please research your comments prior to commenting publicly on them."

(Soooo..., theyre trashed Murphys with Willis or sort-of-Willis handles added? Why not just buy a Willis? It's not like they're hard to find, and most for less than $549.99.)

... and appearing shortly afterwards were several replies from 2 of his followers, their last names have been mostly removed but they are current or Banned tPF members, a few posters here might recognise them. There were probably others that I missed.

You said it yourself, more than once, “I never would have thought of it”…..because you didn’t! A man named Dave Edwards did. Please give credit where it’s due. For someone who claims to not like drama there is sure a whole lot of it in this video. I used to enjoy your channel, not anymore. As an artist I am totally against someone stealing someone else’s idea and undercutting their talent, not cool. I’ll be letting myself out now."

@vintage C**** C******** I watched your entire video, where you cross the line is by disparaging his price (which is not definitively stated)* and saying how it’s so “easy” to do by yourself therefore saving hundreds of dollars. It’s not necessarily easy for everyone to do, that’s why Coach re-loved bags sell so well at the premium prices that they do, because not everyone can do what they do. My point is that it’s not cool to publicly disparage and undermine someone else’s work, that’s all. I’m sorry that you think it’s ok to do so."

@vintage C**** C******** It's is your idea to post this video, speak negatively of others and encourage your viewers to "make" their own. It's not possible to purchase a fully, professionally restored Murphy for under $100. Additionally, the Millis is constructed of 100% authentic Coach parts, not replacement parts. One cannot source a fully restored Murphy bag, Willis and appropriate Coach strap as you are suggesting here. You're not giving the correct information because you don't have all the information. Your selectively providing information."

There were other posts that I also have saved, but these are some of the pertinent ones, and apparently there were also other communications that were private.

Lady #2 finally posted this 2 days later:
Jan 18, 2022
"Hi friend, this is me saying goodbye. I will be removing my channel for good. Dave has lied about me, and dragged me through the mud. I'm done. I feel absolutely broken. Please, stay safe and Thanks for all the good comments you shared on the channel and the support hope you all the best and all good things in life come your way. XOX"

Lady #1 removed her video the same day.

Dale / Dave, you must be VERY proud of yourself and your minions. I hope you enjoy your $549.99.
