If you care about cost per wear I agree that pave is the better piece. So much less babying and it matches everything. And I would have saved myself a lot in the long run if I had gotten my pave piece earlier. Just my experience.Bumping this thread up as I have the same exact dilemma. This will be my first designer necklace. I'm looking for something versatile that I can wear for both work and casual and go with different outfits. Initially I was thinking of getting the MOP pendant but now I'm falling more and more in love with the diamond pave (not sure yet whether to go for yellow gold or rose gold). I think the pave could be "better value" from a cost per wear perspective...since I don't have to baby it, I can wear it daily and get more out of it compared to the MOP. However, I'm a little concerned about the bling...is it too much to wear on weekends with casual outfits? Will I look silly wearing it while chasing my toddler around on the playground?
Help!
I have the RG pave and think that it looks great with casual clothing. It's not super blingy.Bumping this thread up as I have the same exact dilemma. This will be my first designer necklace. I think the pave is a forever piece that can be worn on a daily basis and many TPFers have scattered pictures wearing the piece casually. However, if you think the MOP fits your aesthetic more, you can still wear the MOP daily and later replace the MOP at about $250. A lot of replacements would have to take place before you reached the cost difference between both items.

What did you end up purchasing?? I have the same exact thoughts on the pave. Thinking MOP but I don’t want to baby it.Thanks everyone - I'm still so torn. Made another appointment for tomorrow hoping they'll have the pave piece in stock for me to try. Leaning toward getting the MOP first especially since I'm usually not a necklace person...I'm worried that even after spending all that $$$ on the pave I'll still be too self conscious to wear it on a daily/regular basis.
The MOP! I couldn’t justify the price for the pave especially as I’m usually not a necklace person. No regrets so far as I’m loving the MOP and it’s super versatile. What did you end up purchasing?? I have the same exact thoughts on the pave. Thinking MOP but I don’t want to baby it.
