Victim of a fake purse party!!!

you can report it to the police, and the police will tell the companies that look into fake bags ( i used to work at one) they work with the fbi and police, because both cannot be bothered. Coach and other companies like Louis Vuitton hire a firm to sniff em out :graucho:

that would be such a fun job! The next Law & Order...FPU...Fake Purse Unit.

So I don’t know what to do! It’s been three years. Should I just let it go? It still eats me up at times and sometimes I just want to hit somebody. UGH. I really don’t know what to do. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Based on the time, I would let it go-- take it as an expensive lesson learned! You posting here have made me and other TPF members aware to stay clear of anyone having these so called Coach pocketbook or handbag parties. Awareness is POWER!!!!!! I am sorry that this happened to you:flowers:

I just spoke to my father, he is a lawyer in NY and NJ. He said the best thing you could do is call the police. He said that the Statute of Limitations in NY for fraud is one year, he does not know California. If she is still doing it, you might have a case, though.

I am sorry about what happened to you but you need to let this go. It is eating at you and festering which is not a healty situation for you. Your telling others about what happend to you and saving them from being scammed is really all you can do. Chalk it up to a loss. If the person is still having purse parties you should report them to your local authorities so that no one else gets burned.
