Mock, it's called a "knuckle ring" or sometimes even a "shield ring".

I think I've heard "armor ring" too.

I've been looking for a knuckle ring and stumbled across one at Sterling Works which is a chain silver jewelry store around here. It's not quite as cool as VH's or The Olsens but it was $25.

Where does the band on the back of the knuckle ring go? next to the finger knuckle? Wouldn't that be uncomfortable? I'm asking b/c I do love the look of the ring, but am wondering if it would annoy me to wear it for a day!
