vert de Gris vs graphite

Not sure about green undertone for graphite, but it is a warm grey (to my eyes) as opposed to ardoise which is a cool grey. Hence, I see brown undertone in it.

Vert de Gris as everyone said is more green with a hint of grey. To me, this is a gorgeous color and I would pick VdG as I much prefer cool greys.

Hope this helps!

I tried to take a picture to help show the difference.

Left - graphite tall bombay Right - vert de gris roulis

I thought be taking the picture outdoors that it would be easier to see the color difference, but I think it makes it harder. I'll try inside later.

I was offered a vert de gris Lindy two days ago by my SA. I turn it down and go for blue jeans.

Vert de Gris looks very gorgeous under natural sun light. But when it is indoor, it looks a bit greenish for me. But I would say this is a nice new new color from Hermes.

Wow..I'm surprised at how similar Graphite is to Etain. I didn't realize they were that similar.

Thanks to sbelle, know I know my choice to go with vert de gris was right!
That's sooooo gorgeous!

kat and apey - thanks for the info...yes, how could I not remember your lovely Kelly, kat?

I love both of these colors and would happily have bags in both in my collection if I could!

With all this talk of vert de gris being more green than grey, it made me wonder how it would look against other greens.

I took this picture for a comparison with my other greens
