Hi

What do you about the two colors?

Graphite is grey with a hint of green undertone. Whereas VdG is also grey has a green undertone. Do you find the two are very similar?

I have a graphite box kelly and I must need new specs because it doesn't look as if it has a green undertone. It's an excellent substitute for black. Haven't seen the vert de gris but just by the name I would think it a green grey color. There is the new color eucalyptus; when I think of eucalyptus I think of grey/green as well.

I have a C sweater from 2 seasons ago (Icelandic looking) that is brown and ivory. To look at the sweater I don't think bronze and ivory but brown and ivory. I put the vert bronze massai cut next to the sweater and I couldn't have asked for a better match.

Am curious to read what others say. . .

I'm waiting for a Graphite Birkin, and I was offered a Vert de Gris one, but I turned it down. Graphite is a true dark grey,a metallic grey, no green in it, while VdG is a green/grey; I would put it in the green family, not the grey one.
I didn't particularly like this colour, I find it a bit drab (JMHO)

I'm also waiting to see Eucalyptus as my store didn't have the swatch. I was told it's also a green/grey but lighter than VdG, a sage green.....like the leaves of the Eucalyptus tree.

Hi, I have a graphite clemence 40 B and there is no green undertone whatsoever.

In some lights mine could be mistaken for black. When I put it right next to my noir B it looks dark brownish.

Of course all leathers have slight differences. Hope this helps!:smile1:

footlocker, hi dear! They are definitely gorgeous, neutral, dark grayish hues.

VdG looks like etain mixed with a dash of dark green.

Graphite looks like an anthracite, a deep, dark grey.

Hope that helps!

graphite is much darker than vert de gris. vert de gris is definitely a grayish green whereas graphite is a dark gray, which if it has any green undertone is subtle at most. both can function as neutrals although i think graphite is more flexible. the two are different - you'll never mistake vdg for graphite.

i didn't see any green in graphite? but i've seen vert de cris in clemence and it's definitely more green than grey. Reminds me of army uniform color. :p

They are not similar. Graphite is dark grey while vert de gris is like a grey-olive. I do see a tiny bit of green in graphite, but I also see a tiny bit of green in etain too. I am very sensitive to green too- it doesn't look good on me.....
