I adore VB, and always have, it's my go-to staple for beach and travel. I have bags from an assortment of premiere designers including Hermes, Chanel, Balenciaga etc. but VB will always hold a special place in my heart. Maybe because I grew up in the era of Laura Ashley and this reminds me of that :heart:

Vera bags soften with use, the stiffness wears off. I got couple of pre-owned before but I really like the still stiff bag.

Hey, Thanks for the heads up! I didn't know about stiffness just wanted a clean, stain free, no rips or fading & I got just that :) I love it, it's not super stiff, but doesn't feel flimsy or too soft either. Loved it so much I already placed an order on the Vera Bradley website for a couple more pieces I want to try out, I will share those as well when I get them in.

I bought my Granddaughter her 1st VB for last Christmas. I've been buying way to much lately. I have even just ordered some items for me!!! What do you ladies recommend for a carry-on for flying? Something that holds a good amount and will fit under an airplane seat? My hubby has taken over my carry-on that matches my check-in bag. These are the items we have so far....

Granddaughter-she is 9 going in 4th grade, I am saving some of these items for her bday gifts.
Laptop Backpack-lunch tote-Frannie in Baroque
Little Hipster-Small cosmetic in Island Bloom
Super Smart Wristlet- in Limes Up
Zip Around Wallet-Mirror Cosmetic-Pencil Box in Heather
Beach Towel-Pencil Box in Blue Bayou (this is her new fav pattern. I'll probably get her a new backpack & lunch box in this print)

This is what I have so far. I might give some as gifts.
Lunch Date-Limes Up
Lunch Tote-Indigo Pop
Large Colorblock tote-Carry it all Wristlet in Tutti Frutti(possible gift, not sure I love this pattern or exchange for something else)
Mirror Cosmetic-All in One Wristlet in Jazzy Blooms
2 Large Market Totes in Midlnight Blues

I love the large duffel for traveling. It fits so much! I have had mine for over 10 years and just recently machine washed it for the first time. It still looks good!

Your granddaughter is going to be one happy young girl ;)

For traveling I'd suggest the Weekender because it holds a lot, you can use it as a carry on, you can carry it by handles or shoulder, it has a lot of pockets, and an open back trolley pocket so you can slip it on your rolling luggage handle for hands free carry. I am waiting for one I just ordered a few days ago & cannot wait to have it in my collection.

I suggest you check out YouTube videos as they helped me when choosing which one I wanted to get. GL deciding (That's always part of the fun :)

OMG!!! I have placed 2 orders recently. Me, DD & DGD all like the Blue Bayou pattern-the blue is the same blue at DGD's school district colors!!! I got a few of the color block cosmetic bags for teacher gifts for next school year. I think I goofed up tho.... I had a 40% off one reg price item, I was going to get the laptop backpack in BB, but I thought it would maybe go to 50 off then I could use a coupon. The SA said they would not be putting them on sale before school starts maybe just have some kind of promo.... I should have use my coupon, its expired now. Boo.
