The programme was so devastating that lots of people said they would go vegan after seeing it.
We even learnt there was porc in toothpaste.
Animal products are everywhere....

Yes animal products are hard to avoid: in candies, makeup and processed foods you would never think. I try to follow a vegan diet but often fail due to all those hidden products and often they are just labeled as natural flavors.

This is what they said, SHHMOM.
It is very difficult to follow a strict vegan diet.

Yes, I agree with this. Plastic is no better for the earth and its production is cruel to everything living. Fortunately the EU is much more strict than the US or most Asian countries in regulating leather tanning, so European leather tends to be reasonably earth-friendly. It's a complicated ethical choice and I haven't settled either direction but I will certainly keep learning about various brands' practices.
I am not Buddha enough to wear only natural plant fibers on my feet and my bags yet :p

I'm a bit of a hippie but not at the Buddha level either so I wear canvas shoes and LOVE bamboo, soy and linen clothing but will not give up my leather bags and heels. :D

Not only does the production of plastic pollute and waste natural resources but (this I forgot to mention earlier) also plastic does not decompose so that "vegan leather" bag will actually make big damage coming and going. :shucks:

But I wonder about Stella McCartney bags: I think they are supposed to be recyclable and they claim they are made in some eco friendly way.
