Thanks for all the comments and suggestions here. really appreciated. so far i have not heard anything back from Hermes customer service yet..
went to the Hermes Saint Germine store and bought a few clutches, and got a Rodeo (Blue one).. i like this one much better than the dark green one. Basically the most senior sales person in Saint Germine store said they never hear about Veau Jonathan :). still a mystery for me.. will let u all knows once i hear any more update.. haha.

Ok, here is the answer from Hermes
Thank you very much for your interest regarding Hermès.
The Jonathan leather is a brand new one, this is why you did not find it yet in the Hermès leather guide.
Indeed, the Jonathan leather is very much like the Swift leather.
However, even if it presents a soothing touch it appears to be more rigid that the swift leather.
Wishing you a pleasant day.

Again, Thanks everybody for your help
Merry Christmas to you all

Cheers

Oh that’s interesting. It certainly looks like swift (which isn’t that delicate by the way!). I know swift can get very soft and slouchy but my swift B30 is 11 years old and not remotely slouching so not always. It’s an absolutely beautiful birkin either way, congratulations and enjoy it!

Ah, thanks, I’m always interested to hear others views!

I have a Bearn in box (I can’t be sure as was a gift, I never seem to have it when I am in a store) which has scratched but feels beautiful in my hands. I bought an Epsom Bearn because I heard the leather is more hard wearing but I really don’t like how it feels - too stiff and hard. I’m deliberating my first H bag and the SA in NBS recommended an Epsom Bolide for me but it just didn’t make my heart sing, however I’m enjoying the research hence my questions... I currently have a request for a Bolide in Novillo which I saw on h.com but I’d like the “store” experience for my first bag.
What @duna said. Epsom feels like cardboard. But it's just personal taste. I have a K wallet in epsom, purely for practical reasons, in rubis. But I prefer luscious leathers. Sometimes I can't resist stroking my bags! (Box, barenia, swift, chamonix)

He he, I know what you mean! I love to touch my original Bearn and Semainier, and while no one outside tpf would understand it feels safe to say it here :P
