Hello Friends:

I am debating to get either one 5 motif lucky spring bracelet or 2 single motif ones (the plum blossom + open wing lady bug). Would love to hear your recommendation/suggestion regarding this!

I would get one 5 motif. It has more presence and much more character; the dangling leaf charm is also cute.
The single motifs are super dainty, they will flip to the bottom (or you will keep having to mess with them). The biggest negative to me is you see more chain than the little single motif. It depends on the look you want... more presence or super dainty.

I vote for more presence, so I vote 5 motif! Just my cents. Hope this helps, and good luck in your decision.

Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations on a spectacular purchase, and wear it in good health!

It really is fun! Here are the colors I have below:

Love your earrings!
Are those blue agate earrings? They look like it, and not lapis.

Assuming they are blue agate, I am sure you know this, but in case not...
Your blue agate earrings are so so so special! VCA no longer makes them anymore, even as a SO.

I posted the reason why they stopped a while ago, so consider yourself super lucky to have these earrings and the matching bracelet too! I am going to die if you say you also have a matching 20! That was the one piece VCA rejected me on when I requested a WG blue agate set.

Your blue agate is beyond gorgeous!

Hi again! Sorry, but I tend to stare at awesome jewelry pieces and decompose its elements, so my eyes are stuck on your gorgeous bracelet.

I want to say the lapis looks perfectly clean. I do not see any white spots (calcite) or gold flecks (pyrite) which I know some people love, but it is considered a flaw when looking at specimen pieces. Your piece look so clean, especially in the last photo which is very clear. The color is intense and uniform, a medium voiletish blue. Just gorgeous!

Also, as FYI, since you just bought your bracelet, maybe ask them the origin of th sapphires if you did not already ask.
My guess is they are from Sri Lanka (previously Ceylon), but I know VCA sometimes uses Montana sapphires in their higher end pieces. Both countries are known for fabulous sapphires, but for me, I would just want to know for peace of mind.

The sapphires are also beautiful, well cut and a royal blue.

Congratulations again! I am so happy for you!

I'd been considering the WG guilloche vintage Alhambra and the WG pave sweet Alhambra pendants for my first VCA piece (!!!) since I wanted something for daily wear that could dress up occasionally but wouldn't too eye-catching or out of place when I'm dressed down. I ended up going with the pave sweet since I liked that it provided a bit of sparkle while still being subtle and that the pendant moves around on the chain instead of staying fixed. Now that the necklace has arrived, I love how shiny and lovely it is but I'm wondering if I made the wrong choice. I'm not super petite or dainty so I'm worried that the sweet is just too small on me and looks silly. The chain is a bit shorter than I prefer so I'm planning to get it lengthened if I keep the necklace, which I'm hoping will help how it sits on me.

I hadn't considered the vintage pave since I worried it would be a bit too much shine for me and I preferred something that I could move around/fiddle with. Should I return the sweet pave for the guilloche vintage? Exchange for the vintage pave? Keep the sweet pave? Wait for the day WG hammered isn't just an SO? Am I overthinking this?
(The answer to that last one is definitely yes lol  ). Any input would be much appreciated.

Hi! My thoughts to share and I am sure others will chime in.

The Sweets collection is very dainty and small. It was originally made for little girls. For me, I think it disappears on women and has no presence. I would get it only if you like that dainty, barely-there look.

If you think it's small now, my personal opinion is that you will tire of it in a few years as you age. Jewelry shrinks as you get used to seeing your pieces. I know my "big" pieces now look normal to me.

I would definitely return the Sweets and get the Vintage size. It is the perfect size to wear as a daily piece.

On which Vintage, here is my two cents...
Of the two, I prefer the Vintage pave. Why?
The Vintage pave has just the right amount of sparkle that you like without going too overboard full pave. The guilloche does not have sparkle as there are no diamonds. The guilloche is all about shiny metal. For me, I am not a fan of shiny polished metal in WG as I think it looks like silver and "metal only" jewelry is bit plain to me (yes, I know it's VCA, but it's really just a metal four-leaf clover on a chain). This is just my opinion of course, and jewelry is 100% preference.

I think if you want a pendant to wear as a daily piece, make it count and add a little bit of sparkle.. Vintage pave is perfect!

And no... you are not overthinking, you are planning out your collection to avoid mistakes which is the best thing to do!
I overthink and plan the pieces and sets I want to build before I dive in too. Fine jewelry is expensive, and each piece needs to stand on its own for years. I like to visualize if I can see myself wearing the piece a few years from now.

Just my two cents to help you decide. Good luck to you!

I vote for the 5 motif. I bought that for my daughter when it came out a while back. I chose it because if memory serves they had a version of the one motif back then and the problem with it was that if the bracelet turns (which they always do on my wrist), you couldn’t see the design. It personally drove me crazy. I stay away from all one motif pieces myself for this reason.

Yes they are!!! I’m glad I got the order when I could!!! They are so pretty - it’s such a shame they stopped.

I don’t have the 20…yet! I keep going back and forth and I should really make a decision because who knows when they will stop producing it at this rate!

Personally I find myself wearing the sweet size pendant a lot more, I got the carnelian. The only pendants in VA size that I own are the holiday pendants, worn them a handful of times when I first got them but rarely reach for them now. It really comes down to your preference. I don't think the sweet size is too small or lack presence, but some people may feel otherwise. With the guilloche, unless you get it in YG, I find the WG version giving a more casual vibe so probably not something you can dress up. As for the vintage pave, I like a balance look. What I mean is that, I tend to wear bigger, chunkier earrings because I have long thick hair so dainty earrings will just get lost in my hair. In this case, I tend to keep my necklaces on the daintier side to balance out the earrings since they're within close proximity and I don't want too much metal & blings competing around my face. If your overall jewelry collection is on the dainty side, I think the vintage pave would look nicer. If you're like me, the sweet pave you already have may actually complement your other jewelry pieces well.
