I'd been considering the WG guilloche vintage Alhambra and the WG pave sweet Alhambra pendants for my first VCA piece (!!!) since I wanted something for daily wear that could dress up occasionally but wouldn't too eye-catching or out of place when I'm dressed down. I ended up going with the pave sweet since I liked that it provided a bit of sparkle while still being subtle and that the pendant moves around on the chain instead of staying fixed. Now that the necklace has arrived, I love how shiny and lovely it is but I'm wondering if I made the wrong choice. I'm not super petite or dainty so I'm worried that the sweet is just too small on me and looks silly. The chain is a bit shorter than I prefer so I'm planning to get it lengthened if I keep the necklace, which I'm hoping will help how it sits on me.
I hadn't considered the vintage pave since I worried it would be a bit too much shine for me and I preferred something that I could move around/fiddle with. Should I return the sweet pave for the guilloche vintage? Exchange for the vintage pave? Keep the sweet pave? Wait for the day WG hammered isn't just an SO? Am I overthinking this?
(The answer to that last one is definitely yes lol

). Any input would be much appreciated.

Hi! My thoughts to share and I am sure others will chime in.
The Sweets collection is very dainty and small. It was originally made for little girls. For me, I think it disappears on women and has no presence. I would get it only if you like that dainty, barely-there look.
If you think it's small now, my personal opinion is that you will tire of it in a few years as you age. Jewelry shrinks as you get used to seeing your pieces. I know my "big" pieces now look normal to me.
I would definitely return the Sweets and get the Vintage size. It is the perfect size to wear as a daily piece.
On which Vintage, here is my two cents...
Of the two, I prefer the Vintage pave. Why?
The Vintage pave has just the right amount of sparkle that you like without going too overboard full pave. The guilloche does not have sparkle as there are no diamonds. The guilloche is all about shiny metal. For me, I am not a fan of shiny polished metal in WG as I think it looks like silver and "metal only" jewelry is bit plain to me (yes, I know it's VCA, but it's really just a metal four-leaf clover on a chain). This is just my opinion of course, and jewelry is 100% preference.
I think if you want a pendant to wear as a daily piece, make it count and add a little bit of sparkle.. Vintage pave is perfect!
And no... you are not overthinking, you are planning out your collection to avoid mistakes which is the best thing to do!
I overthink and plan the pieces and sets I want to build before I dive in too. Fine jewelry is expensive, and each piece needs to stand on its own for years. I like to visualize if I can see myself wearing the piece a few years from now.
Just my two cents to help you decide. Good luck to you!
