vanessa bruno bags?

I got my first Vanessa Bruno today - a large black tote on sale at shopbop. I was mortified that they folded it twice and stuffed it in a little box -- I was almost afraid to open it. Thankfully the bag is fine, but for a vachetta leather that started out over $800, it seemed like pretty rude treatment.

Meanwhile, it is a shoulder bag with a flattering line from the side -- especially for someone who is, um, fluffy. (as in ewe's not fat, ewe's fluffy!)

Now, I'm jealous. I saw that bag on shopbop and fell in love with it at first sight, but didn't buy it because I thought it wouldn't fit over the shoulder. I'm even more sad because I passed it over when it went on sale, too. : (

Oh well, at least she looks fabulous on you!

I had that handbag in my shopping cart and got a message from them when it sold. It is a beautiful bag. I needed to justify the spending and was slightly afraid it was too big.

Glad you love it!

i love vanessa bruno. clothing and bags are hard to find. i threatened to buy a RT tix to paris just to buy myself a lune bag. now i have two (grey) and deep red color. i will post pictures when i get it.

ps- i didn't actually go to paris to buy my lune bags. i bought one from ebay (by luck!) and the other from shopbop.

i received both of my VB lune bags today...i love it. very simply, chic, and stylish at the same time. i was a bit disappointed that the bags aren't made in france:tdown:. it's actually made in china:tdown::tdown::tdown::tdown::tdown::tdown:. for the price she's charging i expected it to be made in france or italy.

I have the bag in Black. I have to tell you that after a few months, I find myself using it every day. It is huge, but doesn't look it, and I can carry anything in it. What I love best about it is the outside pockets that close instantly. I have access to my cell phone, metro card and ID card, which I am constantly pulling out. And it wears very well--I'm leaving it all over the place and it still looks new. You have to get used to the shoulder bag issue--with a winter coat it is hard (but not impossible) to get it on your shoulder. Nevertheless, I manage or I carry it on my arm and it's a very lightweight bag.
Love this bag and will keep it for awhile. I'm still not bored with it.

Hey. I am considering buying a vanessa bruno bag. Does anyone own it or have any opinions? Do you think its a really good every day bag?

Its the Lune leather bag. I cant move the pic in here, but if you go to www.vanessabruno.com and then go to vanessa bruno collection fall winter and then to accessories, its the 11th bag they show in like a redish color. Thanks

Hi,

I was just given the Nord Sud Lun in Marron this weekend for our anniversary (thanks hunnie!) and absolutely adore it....:yahoo:- spacious (3 fashion mags, 2 wallets, water bottle, moisturiser, make-up bag happily carried inside yesterday), shoulder straps just long enough, soft beautiful leather, light hardware, great big front and back pockets tuck the shoulder straps in/ easy access to travel card etc. and the detachable cross body strap great for shopping days or travelling.

I`d like to protect the leather- particularly from rain- has anyone used a water protection spray for smooth leather? Mulberry recommended Collini for my smooth leather Bayswater and I wonder if that would be suitable?

Does anyone have the email address for Vanessa Bruno head office~ I can`t seem to find it online??

Thx,
Vivi

Hi, I am about to receive my new Vanessa Bruno Lune bag :woohoo: I would be interested in finding out how to protect it, I use collonill for my Mulberry bags but I am also unsure of what to use for the Lune. I will also ask the SA insyore for any tips and post back when I do. I have now been waiting for 8 months for my bag. It is fully paid for and still waiting!!!!

Vanessa Bruno has just opened her first U.S. boutique and here in L.A. It opened about two weeks ago and is fabulous. I was in there yesterday looking at handbags. I hope they get more handbags in, although the ones they have are very nice. They also have a lot of those popular tote bags and ones that are now in leather. I bought a red, canvas one, with red sequins, in Paris a few months ago.

The boutique is located in the 8000 block of Melrose Avenue, between La Cienega and Crescent Heights, and on the south side of the street (same side as Fred Segal) and across from Vera Wang. It's also next door to a restaurant. Can't miss it. There's free parking in the back of the store.
