Thanks @Swellgal and @rosebean . I think if my GMOP had been a bracelet, it would be subject to more wear and tear. As a necklace, it’s pretty much out of the way (I avoid use of sunscreen, insect repellent, moisturizer, or any chemical around jewelry; I’d rather cover up (SPF and insect repellent clothing) and wear a broad brimmed hat that provides a lot of shade.
Idid not wear any rings, watches, bracelets which can come into contact with hand sanitizer or wipes or hand cream. No earrings bc settings or prongs can catch a lot of dust, and I’ve been known to lose an earring back when removing a hat or something over my head.
Usually, the jewelry is the last to go on after I’m dressed. When I’m in for the night, jewelry is the first to come off.
