I thought about buying the matching earrings, but as of now, I feel it would be too many butterflies floating around me.
I plan to wear my Frivole WG pave earrings and do the Flora and Fauna theme. I may fall in love with these little butterfly guys and get the earrings later though for a matching set.
Speaking of the Flora and Fauna theme...something to think about...
If you want to be a purist with animal themes, butterflies are typically blue (turquoise) or yellow/orange/red (yellow sapphire). Pink butterflies don't really exist in nature if that matters to you. It would be like my panda clip being made in malachite.
I know... I'm splitting hairs on the animal theme, but just a thought if it matters to you which it may not.
On earrings vs. BTF ring...
If you are only getting one, no doubt in my mind, I vote ring!
Why?The ring is more than just butterflies. It's the design. The butterfly BTF is a true BTF ring as two separate pieces. This is the part I love love love. It's very unique. Frivole BTF and Lotus BTF are nice, but you don't get a true BTF look of "two pieces floating over your hand." With the butterfly BTF, it's truly like two butterflies (albeit petite butterflies!
) buzzing around your hand. Earrings are nice, but unless you really love butterfly-themed jewelry (not just VCA, but generic butterfly jewelry), a single butterfly on the ear is not quite the same to me, especially without a second matching piece. The BTF ring stands on its own. That's just me of course, and wearing jewelry is 100% personal preference.
I recall you already have many beautiful classic diamond pieces (e.g. stud earrings, tennis bracelets). The BTF ring would look fabulous matched with them. Hence I vote BTF ring!

I think it might be the better option as it will highlight those pieces in a different way. The earrings I adored but I’m trying to be realistic as I’m a girl who lives in her diamond studs. I will now need to try on all the butterfly ring combos so I can make my decision.
I have the diamond butterfly btf ring—I love the sparkle of the all diamond look! I wear it with my diamond studs currently. But I plan on adding the WG pave Frivole earrings to have the flora + fauna look as well!
