I detest water marks and stains on Vachetta so I was determined to find a product that worked well and didn't darken the leather. The Bick 4 Leather Conditioner is amazing! I apply a small amount with a soft white cloth, then wipe back over it after it soaks with a clean white cloth to remove any excess/buff. It cleans, protects, and conditions the Vachetta all without darkening it. I used on my brand new Mon Monogram Neverfull GM. It has also worked beautifully on my Empreinte, DE, and DA. I have also applied the Bickmore Bick 4 Conditioner to my canvas and it has made the bags feel softer, conditioned, and given them a lovely very light sheen.
Now for the Vachetta ONLY I use the Bickmore Gard More Spray. I do not spray directly onto the Vachetta. Instead I spray a decent amount on a soft white cloth and then wipe down my Vachetta. I apply two coats. Hope this helps. I know there are tons of discussion out there how to care for vachetta. I just know this way has proven itself for me. :)

+1
I've been using brick 4 condition on all my LV leather for years and I love it,. It works great!

I didn't treat my Speedy Azur. I got caught in just a sprinkle. There is a water spot on the tab and it drives me crazy. I now treat my bags with Kiwi all weather spray. I got caught in a shower with my Delightful and no water spots. Treat your bags! It doesn't leave a residue. It doesn't change the color of the leather. I just wish I'd treated my Speedy. It's treated now but that spot will not go away.
I'm glad your bag is okay.

I feel your pain completely. I think most of us do. That is why I bought t Damier Graphite Mick for my everyday...especially during the rainy season. I just hate the idea of vachetta. It is beautiful, but for the price, I shouldn't have to worry about rain ruining it. Damier ebene is good for an all weather bag too. I am glad they have made mono with black leather trim in the men's collection. Its a much better option to LV mono with vachetta.

I want to enjoy my bag, even though it rains.. it's going to rain the next many months..

So I decided to just don't care, and use it anyway.

This is my daily bag... And we'll maybe I'll regret it later on.. but for now it's okay..
Hi, can you please update on how your vachetta is aging? I want to get a neverfull in DA for everyday but afraid.

Just saw this thread. Absolutely protect your bags. Leather and canvas. You can extend the life of them. I use and recommend Bickmore products. Bickmore 4 Conditioner. Is amazing!! I condition abs protect all my items. Leather and canvas. And also use a water and stain repellent. There are multiple brands. Bickmore Gardmore and Apple Brand. Definitely protect !! Goodluck ✨✨

I used to be super paranoid about vachetta, even bringing an extra plastic bag out to protect my bags from rain (mono NF, Eva clutch, Roxbury). Now that the vachetta on all 3 bags have darkened, I'm not so worried anymore.

Like others have mentioned, small water droplets can easily be wiped off and not leave any stains. Even if it stains, it wouldn't be so noticeable once the vachetta darkens.

Since I’ve started treating my vachetta pieces with Apple Guarde, I’m a little less anxious about getting them caught in the rain. Wish I had done so with my Neverfull MM in DA! :P This bag has a few watermarks, but has a nice patina.
