For some reason, all I could think of at that very moment was "eeekkk... she's TOUCHING my LV, especially the vachetta handle, with her yucky hand!!!":cry: So I grabbed it from her and munched away at my lunch angrily. I felt violated for some reason! I think I have a problem...

:D I would have felt the exact same way, and would have prolly wiped the handle with my napkin (sure, I'd feel lame for feeling/doing so, but I'd still feel that way)

Hey, that's a GREAT idea! I'm definitely going to keep this in mind next time I'm out at a restaurant with my bag. I usually put it behind my back with my jacket covering it or put it on the empty chair next to me.

Speaking of empty chair, I went to a shabu shabu restaurant today. It was really empty when I first got there and we were seated at the bar so I put my LV on an empty chair next to me. The restaurant started to fill up around me. All of the sudden, I felt a tap on my shoulder so I turned around. There was a lady holding up my LV by the handles and said to me "excuse me, is this yours and can I have this seat?" For some reason, all I could think of at that very moment was "eeekkk... she's TOUCHING my LV, especially the vachetta handle, with her yucky hand!!!":cry: So I grabbed it from her and munched away at my lunch angrily. I think it's rude of her to just grab something that doesn't belong to her just because she needed a seat, she could've just asked you without touching your bag...

She probably just wanted to hold a real Louis Vuitton

In all seriousness, that's an invasion of privacy. I'd be upset, too, after I calmed down. Someone touching my bag freaks me out, too-I never assume that someone will treat my bag as well as I do.

That's true.

But sometimes (and Irissy, I do NOT direct this at you, I adore you!) when I see a woman with her handbag on the seat next to her in a very crowded place, I can't but roll my eyes at the total lack of consideration. No handbag, no matter who made it, should inconvenience or impose on public space like that.

I have a girlfriend who has beautiful Hermes bags but everytime we go out, she'll ask for an extra chair for her bag. Frankly, if you can't hack the possibility of ruining an expensive handbag, don't carry one. It's so unattractive to be that anal.
