How do you even declare now with global entry not asking any questions any longer. At my home airport they also don't ask when you hand your GE receipt.
Has anyone brought back any exotic bags like lizard or croc to US?
You declare WHEN you hand over the receipt. In my US home airport, they will then walk you over to the actual customs assessment area, but it depends on your airport layout. How do you even declare now with global entry not asking any questions any longer. Just curious, which US airport?I declared my purchases and was only asked about the food I brought back.
I have and declared full amount for 9% duty.Has anyone brought back any exotic bags like lizard or croc to US?
This happened to me at JFK a few weeks ago. It was SO WEIRD.I came back from France 2 days ago to Dallas (DFW) and no one asked anything. I was never asked to declare anything at the global entry kiosk, just showed my passport, collected my checked bag, and where there used to be agents waiting to talk to you there was no one. This was my first overseas trip since 11/19 and I was shocked by this change. Oh well.
Same here, but after reading the posts here now I am nervous that I will get a notice in the mail! This happened to me at JFK a few weeks ago. It was SO WEIRD.

Question for declaring at US airport upon landing from France -- Do we pay the tax on the full amount of items bringing back / declaring that was purchased aboard? Or only after certain $ per person?
