You’ve selected the color. You clearly like both sizes or you wouldn’t be considering them both. At this point you just have to make a decision and stick with it and don’t overthink it. Choose the one you know you will use the most, not what’s the most popular.

22 looks best on you.
I didn’t even think as long and hard for birkin or Kelly. I just went with B30 and K32 though occasionally I may think k28 may be better

Ironically, picotin causes me to think so hard

Agree. The most difficult part is to nail down the size…. I only had 1 chance to get the bag before my SA leaves hence I want to make sure I won’t regret or sell whichever size I want. I have been scrolling through many videos and photos to see the sizes
I say look thru your closet. More videos and pics of other people only confuses people more. Ask yourself: What do I carry mostly? What bags do i shy away from? What size do I lean towards? What have i sold in the past and why?

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to compare for the same Color in different sizes. Else that will be easier. Is there any reason why u think bigger size for the darker Color?

I think lighter-coloured bags appear larger than darker-coloured bags. I guess etoupe is neither very light nor very dark so perhaps it doesn't affect the decision too much? Personally, I really like 22 and would probably go for that size just because of that. I'm just like you leaning towards a neutral (black, blue, gold) and think if I wanted a "pop colour" an 18 would be more suitable imo. With a neutral colour like etoupe both sizes look good. Do you like the more slouchy and casual look of the 22? Or the more "petit" handhold 18? One factor to consider is that 18 might be more difficult to fit over bigger jackets if you live in a cold country. Is there any big difference in weight and will that affect how much you enjoy wearing it?

Dear TPF-ers

I am struggling between choosing a picotin 18 or 22 for my build. I know 18 is more popular than 22 but am not sure which one suit my build / size overall. Hence I would like to have your votes and opinions which one look better on me. Also , the pros n cons for 18 vs 22, especially after it become slouchy?

Will it look bigger / longer or shorter / smaller?

Thanks TPF-ers!

Unsure if I am answering too late. For me, I think the 22 looks great on you. You will probably have to factor in what you normally carry in it, when you would carry it etc.
I originally bought a P22 but have since swapped it out for a 26. I wanted to have the ease of putting it on my shoulder when wearing a jacket. As for any slouch, i had an insert made to my specifications. (I didn’t like the height in any of the inserts) Can’t wait for your reveal

Either of them looks good on you. If i have to pick one, I would say I like the 22 on you more as it feels more elegant. It could be the outfit that you were wearing. I also feel that 18 should be a fun / pop color bag as it is small and you can only hold it or hang it over the elbow. It is more casual and suitable for summer. Ultimately, I think it really depends on what you like and plan to wear it with.
Good luck! Let us know what you ended up with. :)

I've a 4 years old etoupe 22 and the size is great for work and weekend. Plenty of space to bring my essentials and a cardigan. The maitai insert which i'm using kept it in good shape and help organised things so that they won't "swim" around. Is it going to be a weekend bag for you and what would be the capacity which will make you enjoy using it often?

I like the 22. And it looks good on you.

You're thinking too hard about this. 22 is not big. It's just we are in a strange time where everyone is leaning towards super tiny bags. 22 is more suitable for daily use.

I don't like playing Tetris with my bag. I don't like not having enough space when I need to put something in. Right now, I'm wearing my Fendi mama baguette bag (just like the one in picture). I know it's out of fashion, but man this bag is SO useful.

I was looking into getting a maitai insert so it's great to hear your positive feedback. Is it heavy? Is there a specific fabric or print that is lighter than the other? I have shoulder and back pain and am somewhat sensitive to bags that are too heavy.
