Urgent! Cartier Santos Rubber or J12? Need to decide asap

I prefer the Santos but would hate to wear a rubber strap which would get grotty pretty quickly. I noticed that even the store display one had signs of wear. I love the Santos with the leather bands. Many of the colors are fantastic for fun. eg the bright orange. My personal fav. is the brown croc. band.

Im personally over the J12, maybe Ive seem too many copies??? If I were to get a J12 it I would choose it in the black version.

Another choice is the christian dior chrystal range. They have some very striking white watches in many variations.

Lastly, you should aim for 30% of recomended retail price for Cartier. I just bought the roadster and this was the amount of discount I recieved.

:confused1: HOW do I get that discount??? Do I just ask them for it or what? I know jomashop does cartier below retail but they don't have the version I want and even if they did, I'd have to pay tax because I'm not based in US.

Well you dont get the discount from a Cartier store thats for sure!!!! I purchaced mine from a watch shop that stocks all the main watch brands from around the world including Rolex. I dont think I got any special treatment that anyone else couldnt get. I am in Australia if that makes any difference. I had to do a bit of haggling and searching before I found the shop with the lowest price as some shops would only give me 25% off.

Wow, that's a great deal for 30%, do they do that for most Cartier watches? even the gold ones? The most I could get on a gold Cartier was 15%, at London Jewlers.
I prefer the Cartier Santos, b/c Chanel is not known for watches. And you can always change the strap. Someone told me when choosing watch, don't look at strap, focus on the face. By the way, Technomarine does a similar ceramic white watch for only $2600.

Last time I was choosing between J12 and catier pasha and ending up with a cartier. Until now I still want a J12.

From your choice I would go for a J12.
