I love bags, but would never pay over retail for ANY bag no matter the brand or htf status. I just don’t think ANY BAG is worth it when there are sooo many alternatives out there.
As for the PA I’m in Europe and managed to stalk down both versions online (mono in April and azur in July). Adding it to your wishlist and refreshing it every day really pays off! In Europe they usually restock early in the morning, around noon or 5 pm.

Yes..it ended up working out because I initially bought an Alma bb but changed my mind especially having no where to wear it.
So I went with the PA and matching key cles, lol.
The mono PA is super cute..I wish they werent so hard to get, smh.
I think i will not pay over retail because i got my PA NM yr 2012 monogram print for half the price.I was searching high and low, kicking myself when i let one go when i saw it from the store. I was new to lv that time so i didnt really know anything. But was able to get one and almost new. So fast forward, i now see the PA azur online esp in social media and been looking to add a summer bag. Was considering to get one and if im willing to pay full price this time. But i know that i will regret it if i will not get it as soon as i saw it available online. So low and behold, i ordered and got in few days. i love my PA's. and now im willing to pay full price or even a bit over the price if i can get it asap. anyway enough of my rambling. Big Congratulations on your new baby! it is such a versatile piece and carefree. It's all worth it if your are happy and can save your time searching. Use it in good health.
This is similar to my story. I wanted this bag for the past three years and still no luck at getting it through boutiques or online. During quarantine, the prices increased, so I decided to stalk the website after contact my CAs from two different stores. I spent two weeks checking the website every hours and still no luck. Randomly, I saw a personal shopper post that she is able to reserve it. I just bought it from her, and I can sleep peacefully without stalking that website from now. I payed $825 USD ($25 is for shipping), and the retail price was $630 without tax. Honestly, I think it is worth it to spend a little more to get the PA brand new without worrying about defects, authentic (why I don’t buy pre-love), and most importantly you get to relieve so much stress.

aww! I know right. US website people occasionally get lucky to snatch it. But Australia website I have been stalking for like a year. No hope! Congrats to both of us ( even I got the PA now, but everyday I’m still amazed by people reviewing it on YouTube and I keep watching those reviews hahaha). By the way I wonder what was the price of this PA in 2013? That was the year I started having my eyes on LV Brand and Alma bb is the only thing I like and bought it at that time.So very curious how much was the PA, key pouch, card holder and the zippy coin purse at that time
I live in the US, and around the end of 2012, the PA was $500, while the key pouch was $200. Not sure about the card holder, but the zippy coin purse I think was around $400 for canvas?

as long as you are happy with your purchase.am from Australia and i understand LV items are scarce here.Am really mad at resellers and LV because LV restricts common people from buying with limit restriction, and resellers are selling for insane amount.
As an old school LV buyer who bought most of my LV in early 2000, I would absolutely buy vintage over new. LV has had so many canvas issues over the last few years and compound that with the massive price increases...my PA was purchased in early 2000 for under $200. I beat the hell out of it for over 2 decades and the canvas looks brand new. Canvas back in the day was so much more heavy duty than what I'm seeing now. It didn't fade and despite being chucked around, there was no cracking or fading at all in 20+ years. I just sent it back to LV to have the vachetta tab, zipper and D-rings replaced plus a new strap and I will pass it on to my daughter.I feel like this item is such a staple. But is it worth buying a vintage one (1999-2001) for like $700 CAD?
I sold my first LV piece, the Petit Noe years ago and now I'm trying to buy a vintage noe to replace it.
This is my under $200, circa 2000 PA. LV charged me $120 to change zip, d rings, replace vachetta tab and new strap.
