Here's my dip dye of l'ivresse. The purple colorway didn't suit me so well and I had accidentally made a little snatch so reselling wasn't an option. decided to do a dip instead, so happy with the result:
I used a coral red dye (IDEAL, it's a German brand I believe)

playing around with different color combos. The darker greens in the scarf amazingly stayed green

Oh, nicely done! I'm glad the green made it through - it's especially elegant against the purple in the mint coat picture. It looks like the hem turned a lavender-gray?

yes, lavender grey is the perfect description actually. Still puzzled how green+coral turns lavender but I'm guessing it was a blue-green so enough blue pigment to shine through. Super interesting how these things turn out - i would have thought it becomes beige

Blydia - I just looked at this because I am interested in the l'ivresse scarf. This came out beautifully and completely suits you. Congratulations on such a successful transformation!

I loved the amaze-balls bag charms made from bolduc ribbons. I have bought a few silk hair scrunchies. The creativity here is wonderful. I have made masks from some of my scarves. I love the shoelaces as anklets. I have had a lot more time to think about this lately and I am wondering what else is out there? What are some handcrafted and/or non-traditional uses for Hermes items?

These are amazing! I am not crafty, but love stuff made by TPF members @tlamdang08, @diane278, and others. Perhaps they will chime in. Am think8ng there may also be a thread for this somewhere. . .
take a look here https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/hermes-ribbon-craft-challenge.117324/page-22
and here (@tlamdang08 ’s coasters) https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/sheltering-in-place-with-hermes.1025936/page-271
and @jp824 ’s scarves as art https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/your-hermes-in-action.917931/page-3305. I think at some point, @jp824 mentioned doing a series of scarves as cushions. . .
and, @docride, art bags, she recently created one for @diane278 with custom engraved hardware @docride is also creating two for me: a new charcoal grey metallic 30 birkin, brushed phw and a so black hw 35 birkin, in blue camo, but they’re still in the planning stage)
